As a non-fan of either team, this game is intriguing to me:
- State has had a disappointing season by expectation standards of the season, but great season will in context with program history;
- OM has had a disappointing season filled with injuries and non-existent defense;
- State was the favorite last year and got dominated at home by a really bad OM team;
- OM will start AJ Brown for the last time (a Starkville native);
- State fans think they will dominate and OM fans think they’ll get dominated;
- OM is selling tickets “buy one, get one free”

There has to be something really wrong with anyone who buys tickets and goes to this game. The only people there will be fans of the Egg Bowl, not necessarily fans of MSU or OM. The kind of fans who live to talk shite to the other schools fans.

State fans should fill the stands IMO. If there was ever an instance wherein you know State is going to murder OM, this is it...in Oxford nonetheless.
Cowbells should ring all over Oxford all day and night.
This is not rock bottom for OM, next year will be, but it’s close. State will suck next year too though.

That would require us to actually have to go to Oxford. I hate that trashy place. You know it has gotten bad when even the head of your journalism college is posting comments about how trashy Oxford has gotten (which led to him having his name removed from the building).

There is a difference in "should dominate" and "will dominate."

Painting with a wide brush here. I'll be going to the game with both State and Ole Miss friends after wrapping up the thanksgiving festivities at lunch. I'm going to hopefully enjoy a Bulldog win and enjoy myself with friends afterwards--wouldn't say anything is wrong with that

I don't go behind enemy lines anymore. My crew had dangerous confrontation several years ago. We were cornered by some 50 year old drunkards that were likely on some pain pills or some hard drugs along with a crap ton of whiskey.

I agree, especially for State fans. I understand the OM reluctance but it’s the Egg Bowl. If OM were to pull off upset, it’d be a monumental achievement, relatively speaking.
