If you think the Bama Offense is going to move the ball in the air all willy-nilly on this LSU secondary, I'm here to tell you, you're wrong. This is far and away the most talented secondary Bama will have faced to date.

If Bama wants to move the ball, run it. Devin White out, Bama O-Line is solid, and Bama has 3 solid RBs.

But to believe Tua will go into Tiger Stadium and "Light up" Greedy, Fulton, and Delpit is just very very silly.

J'Mar Smith put up over 300 yards and 3 tds on that D.

I think Tua will be just fine.

I might think that too, if I hadn't watched Tua for two years. He's a different sort of QB. Your DB's don't matter. The only way to slow him down is to get pressure on him, and not by blitzing. He'll eat blitzes alive.

You don’t know football if that’s your only statement.

LSU has been really good at mixing the man and zone coverages and confusing the opposing QBs in the last few games. Also, Tua isn't going to be throwing to wide open receivers all night, like he has been in most games.

Tua will get his, because he's too good not to. It's just not going to be as easy as Bama fans seem to think.

Couple this with the fact that LSU has the #1 scorer in the SEC

He had no problems v Georgia, who had a better secondary than LSU has now. Since then, the entire offense has imrpoved greatly. He's gonna torch the tigahs.

It isn’t far and away the most talented secondary he has faced. He sees ours every day in practice.

Listen to the analysts comments about his accuracy. Watch the game film of ball after ball hitting guys in stride in tight windows.

He’s the best I have ever seen at the college level. He’s the best they have ever seen at the college level.

If he is healthy there isn’t a team in college football that can stay within 2 scores of Alabama. You may not believe it now, but you will soon enough

Got a little excited because I thought we were gonna talk about the game in this thread.

Anyway, I agree this is the best secondary that we’ve seen this season. On the other side of that coin, this is far and away the best passing attack that LSU has seen this season. I think some of you maybe haven’t watched Tua throw the ball that much, because he doesn’t need wide open receivers. He just drops it into the bucket. Good coverage doesn’t really matter when a quarterback is capable of that.

Despite the talent that Ole Miss possesses at WR in Brown and Lodge, this is a completely different animal that Alabama is bringing. We’ve got 3 track guys and Jerry Jeudy. An elite tight end, backs that catch the ball well...but most importantly we have an extremely accurate quarterback. Accuracy is the enemy of good coverage.

Losing DW for the 1st half sucks, but the key to this game will be LSU secondary vs bama Wrs. LSU can not allow the WRs to run wide open and take the top off the defense like bama has against every team this year.

I'm not sure of the stats, but I'd guess Bama avg 5/6 40+ yard passing plays a game, LSU can't allow that many big plays(i'm sure George has the stat for this). Tua is great and freakishly accurate!! Of the 4 or so games I've watched, I've been surprised with how many plays bama has had with WRs completely wide open...i'm talking no one with in 10 yards.

Bama will move the ball, just cant give up numerous big plays in the passing game. I know, easier said than done. If LSU can cut those big plays down, it will make for another great game in death valley.

I’d love to believe this, but we truly don’t know until the game happens.

Right now, if for no other reason than LSU not having a great D line to pressure Tua, you have to give Bama a distinct edge in that matchup.

We have seen Saban play conservatively against LSU in the past, but he’s never had a QB like this. I think they will be throwing downfield early and often. Kristian Fulton is going to get a lot of chances to prove himself.

Oh, and this is the game for Aranda to prove he’s as good as a substantial portion of our fan base thinks he is.
If he can get effective pressure on Tua with this front seven, we will all be impressed.

jeudy, waddle, ruggs are better receivers than these guys are dbs. nothing they can do against the kind of route running these wrs have and the perfect placement tua is capable of. your only hope was for tennessee to blow out tuas knee and that didnt happen.

"all willy-nilly"......."Light up"

You LSU fans seem to not like speaking in definitive terms, so let me see if I can help you. Tua will throw for at least 300 yards and 3 TDs in the game. You can count on that. I'm betting it will be more. Alabama will win this game by 2TDs.....minimum.

The same pass defense that 57th in the country? ...btw....Jalen Hurts won last year by throwing for 183 and won in 2016 by throwing for for 107.

Bama won by double digits in both games

Takeway....Bama doesn't need to throw to win the game

upvoted for trying to talk football and not conspiracy theories/LSU is dirty and will target Tua's knees or some other redundant ridiculous BS
