My bet is he had a knee fluoroscopy injection for an mri and someone got confused and thought that meant he had a knee scope.
I, like everyone else here, am just speculating though.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but in the big picture losing to ut is not as big of a deal than losing to L8U...I say sit his arse...but we shall see.

Have it on good authority that they actually amputated from the knee down.

My source, the same HIPAA violating doctor that declared Brodie Croyle dead in South America.

Well, at least he didn't break both legs like Julio did

Yea, if it is just a pain and rest thing and not a possible aggravation/long term injury thing...........I think he you play in Knoxville unless it's affecting him.
It's clearly going to affect him.

Give him the 2 weeks off if that's an option.

My ideal scenario is he starts and throws a couple of quick scores then sits and chills the rest of the game

Lost in all this is Tua had his worst game this past week relative to accuracy. Is it due to the knee ? I dunno, but it's possible. If that is the case they need to get it fixed. Bama could beat Tennessee with Deshank playing QB so now is the time to do it if it needs to be done.

His passer rating was still 200+ so it’s not like he played bad

It's his right knee, and he is a lefty. So it gets all of the torque from the throw. If his movement was limited by pain, injury, or both, it would most certainly have an effect on his accuracy.

Future harm is the biggest issue.

As I said in the previous thread I tore my meniscus. They made me play the remainder of the season with that and it was very painful, heavily strapped. Every time I cut of my right foot. Most of it was tendentious.

While they made me do rehab and didn't allow me to have surgery after the season was over; it took over a year for me to feel near normal there. Flair ups of pain. All which could have been avoided if I had gotten the surgery amd rested.

It's not a severe injury. It can become a problem if not dealt with correctly.

Tried to tell you guys about this sort of thing.

But as long as no one is linking TideFans we're all ok.

If it’s a sprain then the remedy should be rest. If it’s a torn meniscus then it’s going to hurt until it’s repaired but even that can be put off. I tore mine a few years ago. Couldn’t bend my leg for a week, hurt to walk on it for a month, but eventually it only hurt if I was trying to fully bend it. I walked 60 miles through the Appalachian mountains last spring on a knee that’s never been surgically repaired.

I honestly hope he sits this week and the bye week out entirely then starts taking reps in practice during LSU week. 2 weeks of staying off the leg and getting treatment will go a long way towards getting fully healed if it is indeed a sprain. If it’s a torn meniscus then it’ll go a long way towards pain reduction, but that will be an injury that can flare up at the slightest knock going forward

I think my biggest takeaway is that even in the worst case scenario he is almost certainly going to play against LSU at the very at least 75-80%, outside of some massive flare up from a scope (if that happened) or that it turns out to be worse than they thought.

So, not even close to the end of the world. Win this weekend with or without him, get him ready, good to go in Baton Rouge.
