I guess you could put them slightly above Kentucky and Vanderbilt. Someone UGA plays alot, but are rarely perceived as a threat. The threat was there in the George Rogers years, and it came back when they hired Spurrier. Only time will tell about the future.

No, our rivalry was unique in that UGA and Steve Spurrier were rivals. The old ball coach could be coaching McNeese State and would find a way to get us. As far as UGA-SC rivalry there is none not to mention we already have enough rivals.

nope - Carolina's sole rival is a blood feud fought upon our Sovereign soil.

Georgia is simply Oglethorpe's land of debtors & less fortunate that the Savannah River helps quarantine.

I don't consider Georgia a rival. Clemson will always be our only true rival. I view Georgia the same way that I do Florida and Tennessee.

This ^^^^

Clemson is our only rival unless you are older like me and despise UNC and NC State from our ACC days.

Georgia and Tennessee are games I always want us to win. Georgia and us go back a long ways and there have been some great games, especially in The Cock Pit, over the years. Even some we've lost like the David Pollack (intercepted off of Corey Jenkins hand in the endzone) game or the Andrew Pinnock game (dropped pitch on the 2 yard line for the winning score) ... just great college football.

Tennessee ... it's a family thing. I have lots of UT fans in the family. Plus we learned to hate Phat Phuck Phil when he was at UT cheating on the recruiting trail in this state like he did. Everyone hates that phat phuck.

Florida sorta ... it really seemed to pick up a little steam when SPURrier got here and has continued somewhat since mUSChamp's arrival. It was great capturing the 2010 Eastern Division Title in The Swamp that year.

Trying to be respectful here. It's what makes the SEC a lot of fun. SC fans, we don't live or dwell in the past. That's a fact. We endeavor to improve and we are a methodical patient bunch. We could gaf about past history.

If you begin with this modern era, this millennium, we're doing okay. We're getting there. And we do not require being named anyone's rival in order to beat them.

I consider USC a rival. Not a huge rival but definitely a rival. Close proximity, in our division, play every year--sounds like a rival to me.

Many will point out the all time series record, but in my lifetime, USC has held their own pretty decently and has dealt some pretty good Georgia teams losses.

I generally like USC fans. Alot of friends and family so I like this game.

The subtle truth about another issue is on clear display above in Rooster's post.

No mention of Mizzou or AnM despite the conference's hellbent efforts to manufacture those rivalries.

It’s worth a good chuckle to read this from a SC fan. Once you cross the Savannah River into SC from GA you can just feel the collective IQ going down.

Clemson is our rival. I hate Clemson and want them to never win a game in any sport. I think we should raze their campus to the ground, and salt the earth where it once stood.

I think the Georgia game has turned into something like a rivalry, but it doesn't come close to the same feeling in any sport for me personally. They're our closest conference foe in terms of geography, and it's typically the first conference game. That's probably where a lot of the aggression comes from - we have all summer to look forward to it. Plus, since 2000, which is about as far back as I can really remember all that well since I'm 30, we have held our own against them.

I consider Miss State a rival, and we're 82-17-3 against them.

Not really. I felt like they were a rival for a few years because of Spurrier, but once he left I didn't care any more.

USCe is not a rival. Just an annoyance we must deal with to accomplish our every year goal of winning the East. It seems that alot of the younger USCe fans consider us their rival...I think that is an inferiority complex honestly...and the fact that in recent memory which is what most millenials lean on, USCe has kept it competitive, especially when TOBC was there.

CWM is a good guy, and never got a fair shake at UF cause those retards in Gainesville think they should win the Natty every single year just for putting on their uniforms. I think he will continue to keep USCe competitive in the East for the right reasons, cause he is recruiting well.

That said...the Dawgs will score early and often on Saturday and it's gonna be whether or not USCe can keep pace that will determine the victor. I obviously am calling it a Dawgs win.

oh and this shite cracked me up....

This is probably closest to reality. It is like s low simmer just below the surface. More than "Just another game.", but not a rivalry, either.
