I guess (a) you have never lived in Alabama; (b) you don’t understand... (c) Frick you.
Other than that have a nice day.

What a great summary. I mean, that's really how it is. Absolutely. For everyone. You nailed it. Great job.
For the majority of Auburn Men it is. You would rather go 8-4 and beat Alabama than 11-1 and lose to Alabama. History shows us this. For us all we care about is winning the SEC and national championships. It is why we have more than anyone. Literally.

Auburn's whole existence is based on beating Alabama.
I guess if you say enough it becomes true, right?

Yeah except the part where Auburn grads make more than UA grads

I didn't see any Auburn fans crying when Bama boosters paid an Auburn player to set them up. Still won games in the 90s
Then you are not paying attention. The only time I have ever been at an Iron Bowl that I actually was afraid when I was leaving was 1991. This was an Auburn home game at Legion Field, and I had a friend who was an Auburn fan who got us tickets.
His girlfriend was an Alabama fan, so the three of us went to the game. Alabama won, and the walk out we were accosted by many Auburn fans. It was scary... and all about Ramsey/Frost.......
I have been to Iron Bowls since and it was not that bad (although my car was keyed at Auburn)

Historically South Carolina has meant very little to football.

Again that is not true. You have to remove the Alabama graduates in medicine and dentistry to have Auburn graduates make more.....

Do you have "BEAT ________" painted on the wall in the Auburn Athletic complex like you have "BEAT BAMA"?

and bama fired a successful HC, and former player, because he couldn't beat Auburn.

Blah blah blah loser.
And yeah, we were the 1983 champs.

South Carolina beating Auburn has historically meant......
Oh wait.
Oh wait.

He couldn't beat LSU, Tennessee, or anyone else either. Shula was a mediocre coach who Auburn fans hated to see go. Not really any different than Barfield except the being an alum part. Any SEC coach is going to get fired when they can't win big conference games. Shula was like 1-15 in those games. It was much more than Auburn.

A successful head coach? He was 26-23 in his four seasons at Alabama when we fired him. Had he coached the bowl game he would have finished 26-24. For those who can't math, that record is barely above .500.

Georgia is the only one you play every year. When was the last time you played GT? 13 years ago? Since the 2000 season you have played Florida a whopping 6 times.
Clemson? We have played them as much as you have lately

That is Auburn math for you.

And if you aren't winning games at Alabama's historical average (right around 75%) or above, you aren't a successful Alabama football coach.

Michigan and ND haven't played in years, Still rivals...
Texas and Texas A&M haven't played in years, Still rivals...
Your point?

You don't see the difference in that game and Auburn playing Clemson?
That is an instate rivalry game. Doesn't compare. You will always have Georgia who you have a bizarre incestuous relationship with.

Troll aside, Auburn has kept Alabama from winning three or four other national championships.
Punt Bama Punt, First Iron Bowl in JH, and Kick Six off the top of my head. Pretty historically important IYAM
For PBP, y'all weren't #1 in either poll before the game and still lost your bowl.
For the FIBIJH, y'all still lost the Sugar Bowl to Miami.
As for KS, I don't think anyone was beating FSU that season.
