You know this as a SC fan all too well.

Frankly, beating Bama means nothing because we all know they are the best team so they have a CFB playoff deal similar to ND's NBC deal. True story. All hail Bama.

I didn't see any Auburn fans crying when Bama boosters paid an Auburn player to set them up. Still won games in the 90s.
You got it backwards, it was AU who paid to set Alabama up. Bama paid no one to set AU up.

AU's probation was before the NCAA started taking away scholarships - all you got was a bowl ban. If you had lost ~30 scholarships then have the NCAA admit they made a mistake but OOPs too late to redress the issue - it would have been much different. Then the NCAA was mad because they were embarrassed so they redoubled their efforts to "get" Bama. They also used the window to intensify the penalties.

Auburn beating Bama has meant more to Bama in terms of title implications than Auburn. A couple of Iron Bowl losses have derailed Bama's title aspirations...thinking 2013 and 1989. Probably a couple of others.
That's been addressed in more detail earlier in the thread. It's not true. The only year an AU win prevented Bama from a possible title was 2013.

Also mentioned was that the only 2 years both teams were undefeated were 1971 and 1994 (AU had a tie and a ~20 game unbeaten streak - AU's longest.). They were both Alabama wins: 31-7 and 21-14.

I was referring to 1993 not 1983 about the "smoke and mirrors" which I compared to Bama 1989.

I said 1983 was neither a NC nor an undefeated season which the OP had claimed.

And yeah, we were the 1983 champs
Miami beat Nebraska and won both wire service titles: AP and Coaches Poll. Miami won the NC, Auburn didn't even finish second, they were third.

Auburn was the 1983 national champ. Just because a handful of people in a couple of polls made a mistake does not change what happened on the field and more selectors picked Auburn that any other team in 1983 when including computer polls.

Now appologize for wasting my time on this subject when it is obvious to anyone and everyone that knows anything about the 1983 season that AU was the champ.

Not the AP, FWAA, NFF, USA/CNN, UPI, you know the ones that people agree on... especially after WW2.

IF Auburn had scored a TD on Michigan, or even beat them by more than 3 points, then you MIGHT have something to stand on....

But to keep arguing this makes you look silly, Miami (Fl) is the National Champ. Just let it go.....

Even Alabama fans, who have a better argument for the 1966 NC than Auburn has for 1982, do not try and count it

Not many teams can say they beat both UGA and Bama in the same season. Much less a gamecock.
