I totally agree with you, but I just think that's what Saban will do, for whatever the reason he keeps proclaiming there is still a competition. I hope I'm wrong and Tua trots out there the first game and every game thereafter. I think Tua deserves that, and conversely, I don't think Hurts has ever been good enough to warrant more "competition" for the starting job at Alabama.

This was good to hear, but also expected:
“It’s doing good,” Tagovailoa told Hawaii News Now. “We got the opportunity to find someone down here (in Honolulu), and we’re doing rehab with him. So far we’re good, we’re on track. I just can’t wait to get the ball rolling. Once I start throwing again, I feel we should be fine.”
The key thing that Tua said:
"If I gave in, I don't think I would have seen the end blessing of where I am now."
This is Tua's team now. And it has been since January 8, 2019. Period. No question mark.
I love Jalen for all the good things about him, but he's not capable of winning back the starting QB job from Tua. The real competition is this: At what point will Mac beat Jalen out for #2 QB spot? Maybe not by the end of fall camp, but Mac needs to be getting some playing time so he'll be ready in case Tua gets injured.
ETA: It's too easy for a good defense to contain our offense with Jalen at QB. Load up the box against our running game, and lock down Jalen's primary target, forcing him to go through his progressions. He cannot do that well -- so he becomes like a deer in the headlights.

I think as long as Tua is healthy he’ll start against Louisville. Of course Saban is going to say there is a competition. There’s always a competition on this team. No matter what position, talking to the outside Saban will always say there is a competition.
What else is he suppose to say? “Tua broke his hand and couldn’t play, Jalen sucked in the spring game. So we’re gonna start a guy who has never started and is hurt”
We all know Tua is better.

Yeah, cause going into a season with 2 scholarship QBs is much better than having idiot fans' panties in a wad over an imaginary, outside-the-team issue.
Because, you know, the GOAT coach is not able to manage a simple QB battle.
Some of you frickers are laughable, and cobrasize is your Queen.

Everyone listen to pervert, he's going to teach us how to be men Through the years I've found that men who like to call people names and try to build their ego by acting more masculine are actually the ones who need the help. We should embrace these people and their insecurities. Pervert just needs a hug

Dude, you called me out on page 1 of this thread, without me ever addressing you.
I shot back, and then you immediately make a post childishly insulting my last name like kids did in 2nd grade and spouting passive-aggressive pussy nonsense.
The reality is that you want to start something, and then walk away like a child when there's a little heat.
I do not respect you as a person or as a man. You are conducting yourself in a way that fails my definition of being a man, and I therefore will continue to treat you with derision.
Do and say whatever you like, cobrasize. But disagreeing with the likes of you is the highest badge of honor I could possibly hope for.

1) I will continue to do and say whatever I want. I will literally "try that shite" over and over and over again. What you want has no bearing on my decisions and never will.
2) Are you aware that time is linear? Are you aware that you insulted me first and then had a problem when I gave you back the same?
If you do not understand the above, are you lucid? Are you on drugs? Is you brain deficient in any way?
If so, just let me know. I'll gladly ease off if you're not playing with a full deck. No worries.

I said , " that's what concerns me" and you responded to that by saying it was like hens and acting like a pussy. So don't sit here and act like I started this and you weren't talking to me. You literally responded to me and then I responded back to you.

OK, I went back to look at what happened on page 1 and I see why you got peeved first. I really should have hit the reply button on BamaFan15's post where he said the sitiation had gotten toxic, but I replied to that narrative using your post where you quoted him.
That's my bad. I didn't intend it to look like I was speaking directly to you. I was really replying to anyone who shared that logic. I understand why you thought it was a shot at you individually. It wasn't, and that's my bad.
I actually have no beef with you outside this thread, and I appreciate you making this thread in a dead time like this. I only got hot at you cause I thought your shot at me was out of left field. I will do a better job of being clear who I'm talking to in the future.

I apologize too. I just thought I was being called a pussy for no reason. Don't worry about it, it's easy to get mixed up on here and we were both just defending ourselves.
For the record Bamafan15 is a huge pussy

Basically the same situation with Henry in 2013, no? That worked out fine. I know that its different because we are talking about QBs. But I feel like this stuff is way overblown, like most stuff in this world is these days.
Whatever happens, we will be fine.

Look, I'm not saying he's lying or that the thought of transferring wasn't in his mind, but sometimes when you're telling a story meant to highlight a certain moral (perseverance in this case), you over play some key points.
He was frustrated, and rightly so, but if he'd gotten to the point of talking to Saban, I suspect he could have been swayed to stay. If not, and he transferred because Saban refused to pull Hurts, it probably would have been the first time y'all ever saw me melt about Nick Saban. But, I think Saban had known for a while that Tua would be starting sooner rather than later. It's just difficult to pull a QB when the team is winning and throw a true freshman in there who is bound to make some mistakes. But, I think Tua would have taken over the starting role this coming season regardless.
