Tua's just scared he'd get his arse kicked by his little brother.

I agree . If he starts out on the bench, and we are winning because of defense and run game, it will be hard for Saban to pull hurts and it could get dicey. That’s my concern

If Tua starts out on the bench then I don’t blame him for transferring and won’t be mad at him. He’s the best QB we have and it isn’t close. Saban better do what’s right and let him start without splitting reps.

Things are evidently fluid, as they say, but if something dramatic doesn't happen before the season, I expect Hurts will start the first series of the first game and there will be predetermined series for each. I expect by the 3rd game Tagovailoa will be the starting qb, but if it's Hurts, Tua will be gone and I would not blame him.

Don't forget that Tua has an injured thumb that kept him out of the majority of spring. Saban starting Hurts wouldn't surprise me at all.

Fricking no. I don’t want the split reps crap. What good could that possibly do? The offense needs to be clicking before SEC play and Tua is obviously the better options.

It's a toe thumb, so how much do we really know about the situation

Lost in the interview where Tua said he almost transferred, he also said his hand is ok and things are going good with it

I just gotta believe that Hurts dad has maybe asked where things stood with the situation but it really didn’t get to play out. Gonna be interesting

I meant that I think it will be that way the first game or two, like when AJ and Phillip Sims were competing for first string.

Listen, all you have to do to know what I think about the "competition" of Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa is to look at my posting history. I think Tua is far and away better and for the life of me I can't understand why Saban is continuing with that. Maybe to keep them both around but #1, that would be deceptive and #2 it wouldn't be for long term anyway. There is, though, the chance that Hurts would settle for being back up for the season, graduate, and play the next year somewhere else. There is no way in hell, though, that Tua Tagovailoa is going to settle for playing behind an inferior qb for the next 2 year. It's just not going to happen and never was, and anybody that thought it would are really, quite honestly, very foolish.

I appreciate everything that Jalen has done and how he has handled this situation , but I really wish he would go ahead and transfer. I think it would be better for him and for Bama in the long run.

The only reason I feel remotely comfortable saying it is because of Jalen's dad. He started it
