Not true. Ole Miss was paying kids to not visit other schools; which had never really been done before in the conference previously; pissed many people off.

Let's see what's in this NOA

It really is fascinating that OM fans have been the least informed group of people regarding this entire investigation. Most myopics can at least see the things that are right in front of them

So you are just spewing rumors like it is fact and hope you get bailed out later on.
Are you Steve? How is the unemployment line these days?

But you guys told MButterfly that he was wrong.... There would be no 2nd NOA.

You mean like state was doing a few years ago?

In fairness to ole miss fans they were just listening to their leadership, which has completely lied to them the entire way IMO.

No your whole theory is wrong. We were going 85 just like everyone else, we just had a tail light out and got caught. The NCAA was the bored cop that just wanted to make a name for himself.
NCAA: you broke rules and will be punnished
You: You didn't hammer miami in the past; everybody else was doing it
It doesn't make the NCAA's claims false.
All-in-all, this board has done a good job in laying out how this was going to go down. You can be upset all you want, but the writing was on the wall.

It's the ones who acknowledge that they cheated (pretty much all but the most determined self-liars at this point) and still think they deserve to get off lightly who are the ones I have no sympathy for. Again, if UF was in exactly the same place as OM is right now, I would fully support the NCAA punishing us very harshly.

"Everyone's doing it" is NOT a valid defense.

there still is no smoking gun. That may change with this NOA but if there is no smoking gun the biggest Pay for play would be Tunsil's step dad asking for $800 and like $17,000 in infractions. Compared to $100,000 plus at Miami and a house and more at USC and OM is going to get hammered worse than both of those combined? I don't see it.

These threads go to shite so fast.

Half of your posts are about ole miss and this noa.

I've gone with "everyone's doing it" before, but really only as an exasperated cry.
Yeah, we got caught and should be punished. That doesn't take the sting off the fact that literally everyone is cheating and it sucks that our administration was stupid enough yo get caught and then weak enough to get arse pounded.

Sounds like you're just defensive. That's understandable.

Seriously? How many people have been fired, reassigned, cut deals to get out from under this mess? There's huge academic implications in addition to the gutting of the Athletics Dept.
You can't see the smoking gun because you're looking for it w/ your eyes closed.

You are entirely out of your element. They have academic fraud arranged by football coaches. They have an assistant athletic director paying a student-athlete, all orchestrated by the director of football operations.

This is the first thread in which I've actually actively participated because it's an interesting topic that affects every school in the NCAA. I haven't trolled or been disrespectful and my interest is pretty natural.

What the heck is Dan "muffin time" Mullen, and what exactly doesn't compute? Say what you mean.

Surprised Malzahn let Austin Golson speak on immunity since Malzahn and Freeze are so called "besties".
Why would Gus do otherwise. If no immunity, he could lose a player. If he told Golson to keep his mouth shut, he could lose a lot more. Freeze made his bed, he needs to lie in it.
