If all they have is that tape from the press conference....then it won't be in the NOA. If the NCAA can't find any ties and tunsil didn't go on record with the NCAA....then they don't have anything to act upon. The fact that they waited so long in the process to grant players immunity is pretty telling.

How has nobody added the Ole Miss logo to the clan cloak?

You are not at the stage to reason with. Just have a beer and buy tickets when everybody else is staying home due to the loses. Better seats.

Because the university is smarter than someone like you and knows to let their 3rd party attorneys handle this. They aren't subject to FOIA's

Also....even if the university did directly receive it, they can black out anything related to a specific student.

What football coach arranged the academic fraud?

There is proof that an assistant AD paying a football player or do you have screen shots where it was discussed?

Yet you claim that "You are entirely out of your element."

They have it sent to their counsel, usually a law firm in a neighboring state, so that they can deny access.

Most people don't actually take the time to read and just go by shite that they hear from someone else.

This is why this website has gone to shite over the years.

I thought my point was pretty reasonable. Some people won't admit that they just want to see Ole Miss get hammered. I expect Ole Miss to get hit with around 20 scholarships over 4 years. I think a lot of people at Ole Miss should be fired by how awful they have handled this investigation.

So you are saying they can't use his very public statement vs the statement that he gave vs the statement of what his step father gave?

Be serious. You know they can and will.

This is a good point. I do wonder however how much we can take opposing coaches at their word, though, given the inflammatory things that Bielema has said about Florida and our recruiting practices. As far as I know there's no reason to believe that the Gators go "above and beyond" what anyone else is doing.

But that's getting way off topic.

Yes they do have to make it public. There are stalling tactics, but eventually it will be released

Offering cash directly to recruits for signatures and doling out cash on visits.

Other schools live in the grey area, and take a lot of care to not be blatant. Offer a family member a well paying job... have a cousin get cheap rent on a nice house... set up some really really nice lease terms on a new car... Problem with those is it's not as enticing as a big ole stack of money, and they don't draw the same immediate reaction, and that's why it's frowned upon.

Certain Ole Miss boosters decided they weren't going to adhere to the unspoken code, it made everyone nervous, and here we are.

That, alone, holds no weight. It doesn't say from whom, how much, etc. There's a very large difference in punishment if a coach gave him $5 vs $5000.

quote:

the statement that he gave

What statement did he give? That's a legitimate question as I have no idea about any statement that he gave to the NCAA. Last I heard is that the dolphins advised him to STFU and concentrate on the NFL.

quote:

the statement of what his step father gave

Stepfather said he asked a booster for $800. That isn't being denied and actions have already been taken. There have been no accusations from him that the coaches paid Tunsil. That's in the original NOA.

There very well could be new Tunsil info in this NOA....but it won't be anything regarding the step-father. He already spilled as many beans as he could last year.

Hahahahahahahaha No.

Y'all tried to say the same thing with the first NOA and it is utterly, completely, and absolutely untrue. The letter isn't to the attorney, it is to the school. It doesn't matter who has physical possession of it.

It is subject to a FOIA request. Ole Miss can legitimately withhold it while they prepare their response because releasing it during that process would harm their ability to investigate the allegations but that's it. The notion that giving it to the lawyer shields it from disclosure is pure bullshait.

I think the NCAA simply lists them as 'student athlete' and not by name in the letter anyhow.
