No, Bama and Clemson are locks if they win Saturday. Bama may be a lock regardless. Big10 could get two in though if Washington loses.

Ohio state in.
The other top three are in if they win there final game

I hope it happens. Would forever end any "the SEC can't have more than 1 in the playoff" talk.

Alabama is in.
Clemson is in with a win over Virginia Tech
Washington is in with a win over Colorado.
Ohio State is probably in, but if Penn State or Wisconsin were to blow the other out, who knows.
If Clemson and Washington lose, Ohio State is definitely in. The other two spots would be between the following 2 loss teams:
Michigan
Bedlam winner
Colorado
Clemson
B1G winner

If Penn State wins, it's probably Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Penn State. Washington has a horrible OOC schedule and they lost to a team Alabama boat raced. I could see Oklahoma passing Washington as well - they played a tough OOC schedule which is something the committee has said they value.
Maybe a couple of those top teams lose and Pitt or USC gets in. They beat a couple teams on the list.

The system better not let a non cof winner in, if they do u could see the sec /acc teams start posturing. Second hottest West team, for example could win all games, lose Bama on purpose knowing it wouldn't have to play extra SEC championship game and still get in.

Lol 3 in?
Jesus christ that is Skip Bayless SEC circa early 2014. No chance
But there is actually a real chance they get two.....
Ohio State will be in the playoffs. They are the 2nd best team I dont give a frick about any of your stupid metrics. But if Clemson or Washington loses.... frick

Here's the issue - if Clemson and Washington lose, who are the 4?
Alabama - obviously
Ohio State - obviously
Then what? Probably the B1G Champ, right? Ok, so
Alabama, Ohio State, PSU/Wisky
Michigan's resume is better than anybody else left. They beat Colorado head to head (who is the Pac 12 champ). So basically you are down to Oklahoma/Okie St and Michigan? You can take the Big 12 winner, but they CLEARLY will have worse resumes. Michigan will have wins over 2 P5 Conference Champs (Colorado and PSU/Wisky).
The other option is Ohio State and Michigan get in and you leave the B1G champion out. You think that is going to happen?
Botton line : if Clemson and Washington lose the Committee is in one helluva box.

I'm really just wondering what the committee is going to do now that their precious OSU won't have a conference championship which they hold in such high regard

Need a bigger playoff. Too many really good teams are going to be left out. If Bama wasn't Bama, there are 7 or eight teams that could win the NC this year.

OSU ain't getting in. Barrett is as bad as Jeremy Johnson throwing a forward pass. The only thing he can do is run. Their defense would keep them in the game against Bama, but their run game isn't good enough to penetrate Bama's defense. They are probably going to the Rose against Washington, if they lose to Colorado. How I think it shakes out:
(1) Alabama. (2) Clemson
(4) Wisky/PSU. (3) Washington or Oklahoma
They won't let the PAC 12 in if it's Colorado. Washington? Yes with a win. The PAC 12 screws itself in Bowl season because outside the CFP and the Rose Bowl their other games are shite.

All you Halfbaugh horn blowers can let it go. His team won't be playing for any title as usual.

Here's how I'd rank them:
1. Bama (13-0) -- No question about the top seed
2. Clemson (12-1) -- Tigers have better resume than 1-loss OSU based on conference title, better than Wash. based on SoS
3. Washington (12-1) -- Huskies are 1-loss P5 champ
4. Ohio State (11-1) -- The Buckeyes have a strong resume, but if we are going to say conference championships matter, they should get in, but below teams with equal/close resumes.
5. Penn State (11-2) -- Nittany Lions beat OSU, but a 39-point loss to Michigan hangs in my head. That's an ugly blemish.
6. Oklahoma (10-2) -- Sooners will have a good win vs Ok State, but a home blowout loss to Ohio State can't boost them over OSU, even with Big 12 crown.
7. Michigan -- you can argue they're top 4, but shite the bed with chance to beat Ohio State
8. USC
9. Wisconsin
10. Colorado
I don't think the B1G will get 2 teams in unless there's total pandemonium on championship Saturday, but even then, I don't know.

Don't forget just because it was early in the season, but Bama also beat number 17 Ole Miss...the best 7 loss team in the god damn country!

I have mixed feelings about the CFB playoffs.
It has given us some great football games at the end of the last two seasons. There looks to be some good match ups lining up for this year. That is a definite win for fans.
With 4 teams this year, we have seen an impact on the regular season. Outside of rivalry implications, the Iron Bowl and SEC Championship games were meaningless. In previous years, both of those games are must wins for Bama.
Big12 and potentially Pac12 getting left out this year, it is only a matter of time before it is expanded. Non-SEC teams getting left out of the BCS was a factor in the push for 4-teams.
If it were an 8 team playoff this year, OSU/Michigan would have been meaningless. Both teams are likely in either way.
If we are going to stick with the playoffs...which I know we will, I think it needs to be tied to a conference championship. Sort of like the basketball brackets. Conference champion gets a spot and there are several at large spots for non-champions.
