Practiced the "whole" practice yesterday. Was able to do more than he could Sunday. Will evaluate him up until gametime.
In others words, surgery should be scheduled soon.

247 Brandon says he is 100% good to go and should be a large part of the plan...

I have been hearing he may not play.

If he's been practicing since Sunday I doubt he sits the whole game. May be limited though.
But for all we know, Gus could say he's been practicing but he hasn't really been.

There have been some pics of KJ at practice this week (check AU gold mine Twitter timeline) you can see his ankle is heavily wrapped, but he's dressed out with the rest of the RBs.
He either practiced some or a fairly elaborate fakeout.

Are we talking high ankle sprain here?
Posted on 10/20/16 at 2:48 pm to LanierSpots
Unfortunately, I think it was a high ankle sprain. At least that's what it was first reported as

Brandon Marcelo was pretty adamant about KJ being ready to go during last nights live stream. Someone even asked him about a leading rusher prediction and his pick was KJ. He's also saying that the O-line will be the starters we've had for the last few games.

Think so. Those can take months of healing, so he could be limited for some time. Who's knows, tho. Watch him get 40 touches this weekend.

JGT's podcast said he thought it was a high ankle but seems to have been a shin contusion type thing which probably seemed similar in the moment

I'm skeptical that he plays.

Man they really suck. I was training for a 70.3 tri a few years back. I was about two weeks away from the race and stepped wrong off a very high curb at Longhorns after dinner one night. Got a high ankle sprain. Took about two and a half months to get better. Every time I would turn it the wrong way, shite would hurt like I just did it for the first time.
i was not happy about that after doing all that training.

Can somebody explain to me what a "high ankle" sprain is that has some knowledge? That is what Buga had and it kept him out three weeks.
Asking for a friend.

KJ does NOT have a high ankle sprain...
But if he did... A high ankle sprain is a sprain of the syndesmotic ligaments that connect the tibia and fibula in the lower leg, thereby creating a mortise and tenon joint for the ankle. High ankle sprains are described as high because they are located above the ankle.
