Tommy Tuberville or Gus Malzahn/Gene Chizik

Which would you prefer for your team? Going 8-4 every year or having one NC season or NC game appearance surrounded by a whole bunch of awfulness?

Tubberville was overall the better football coach than both of them very clearly.
He had one elite year just like Gene and Gus did too.
And his elite year was more legit, no Cam Newton superstar or repeated miracles.

There's only been one real year of awfulness between Chizik and Malzahn with a lot of mediocrity.

Prefer none. Tubbs best though.

8-4 every year? Did 2004 not happen? 2006?
Tuberville put together an excellent program at Auburn. The BOT and boosters fricked him over and he panicked with the hiring of Saban with his hire of Tony Franklin.

I want Gus/Chiz.
Tubs didn't do so well over here in Texas.

That's weird to say since you haven't beaten any of them.

Give me Gus. I still think he's a good coach.

Tuberville.... ALL DAY. Regardless of what folks say about him, he took a lot of other SEC schools' recruiting leftovers and still went toe to toe with everybody. Hell, that was the golden era of Auburn football imo

Tubberville although a douchebag is a really good coach

Why is a UF fan talking shite about Auburn? We own you. I know you're just upset because UF hired that joke McElwain. But chin up little buddy. After Zook, you guys found Urban Cryer. Maybe history will repeat itself after suffering through Muschamp and this clown.
P.S.
Malzahn is a good coach. He just needs to get rid of Rhett Lashley and find a real QB coach. When Gus has a good QB, he's always going to put up points. And the defense is looking better and better. And unlike Tubs, he's going to have one of the top recruiting class every year.

two of those guys came up through the ranks by paying their dues - didn't have people pulling strings for them to get jobs they had not earned

Tuberville is the better coach, but I'd be interested to see how he'd perform at Auburn now that Bama isn't mediocre. People thought Pat Dye was brilliant until Stallings got to Bama.

TT. If he had the talent Gus and Chizik had/has Auburn would have won multiple NCs under him. Problem is he put most of his efforts into finding diamonds in the rough than going after the top players.
