They did Bama too during the t-town menswear and dj Fluker scandals, including PF. Doesn't mean anything.

What ever the taste of the day is. Like vultures.

How interesting that AU fans are flocking to the defense of OM.

Not really. And the NCAA wasn't involved in any of those either.

You aren't getting into the spirit of this thread.

Everyone has an agenda. The only problem with this is what is actually in the NOA. There really isn't much about pay for play. It's about the ACT. That's the worst part. The rest is loan cars ( and tunsil was already suspended for half the season), hotel rooms and a booster paying 800 dollars to tunsils stepdad. I may be missing it but where are the serious pay for play allegations? The other level 1 with Herbert Moore will certainly get thrown out. I know one of the individuals involved here in Memphis and it's not a level 1. I do think Ole Miss is cheating but I just don't think they have enough proof to hammer them without a serious fricking legal battle to follow. NCAA does not want to public ally lose another legal battle. My prediction is 15 scholarships and no bowl ban.

No fan of Finebaum & I'll stop watching again as soon as media days start & his bama bias goes into overload for the season, but he was mostly repeating what the S.I. writer was saying in his article: both said, several times, that they are hearing from coaches in the league that they are fed up with the Black Bear's cheating. The S.I. writer also said he's hearing this from other coaches around the country. Point being, this is not the media, this is Freeze's peers in the league beating the war drums against his program. One "veteran" but unnamed SEC coach really unloaded on Freeze's program & was quoted as saying it's time for the NCAA to step up & back up all its talk about reform or SEC football would become what NCAA basketball is like now, the wild wild west.

Well if they drop the hammer this shite is going to REAL court and they're going to lose REAL money

I didn't read the article and haven't watched or read anything outside this board on the subject but that is very interesting indeed that the other sec coaches are talking about their cheating ways.
Eta: Makes me assume they roll their eyes as much as I do when the preaching comes out of Hugh's mouth.

Well, we are tired of the institutional cheating that has made those schools "elite." Finebaum can drag his arse out to the Bama, LSU, FSU, UT parking lots and ask those kids where they got their cars.
If we get hammered, I'll get over it.You do the crime, you do the time. But if I am expected to believe that other coaching staffs outside of Nashville think the Rebears have an unfair advantage and believe they don't have boosters doing as much or more, than I have a problem with that.

Taking it to REAL court would be REAL fricking stupid. Because then the NCAA would have REAL subpoena power and Ole Miss would be REAL fricked.

Yeah, why does everyone act like the NCAA is scared of that? Legit question, I've wondered that for awhile when reading the many comments saying they wouldn't want that?

If I was the NCAA I would only be worried about getting tangled up in courts every time I made a move against someone. If schools start taking everything to court, it will make it really hard for them to do their job.
