At A&M, there are certain games that come up on a regular basis that are the "wish I had been there" events. They are the ones you take weird pride in having attended, even though your presence mattered not at all to the outcome. For A&M, they tend to be (IMHO):

1985 Texas (The full arrival of Jackie's teams for an SWC title and a record beatdown of what used to be our rival)

1986 Baylor (Huge comeback on a strong team that had been our only conference loss the year before)

2010 Nebraska (Intense win over a top 10 team as part of an unexpected roll through a still-respectable Big XII; greased the skids for Three Mile Pelini's exit)

2006 @Texas (Unexpected win in the middle of Macktastic run of good years by Texas, and in the numbness of the Franchione era).

Other Aggies may have different takes, but I would be willing to bet the '85 Texas game is a consensus pick. It's the one where Old Army types (like me) spout off that we were so loud that they couldn't play the game (and the stadium capacity was only - officially - 72K).

I just realized that 2012 Bama will be the obvious omission (and only SEC game). I was living in Singapore then, though, so I did not get the full experience.

Recently (since 2000 I guess)

2005 Florida - Rowdiest I've ever seen Bryant Denny, stadium was smaller then but the crowd was ready to explode, and we scored early and often. It was just insanity.
2008 @ Georgia (Blackout) - Coming out party, established the Saban era, utter domination
2015 LSU - Honestly, 2011 LSU was the "bigger" game (2007 too, and 2005 for that matter).......but we lost so that doesn't get this spot. Arkansas beat Ole Miss right before, so everyone knew the West was there for the taking. 2015 LSU was loud, rowdy game with the SEC West at stake between #2 and #4.

Honorable mention to the 2009 SEC Championship Game against Florida.

Some games, like the Rocky Block Game, were memorable, but that game I was just glad to get out alive. That wasn't a great Tennessee team, and I just had relief more than excitement at the end.

2007 Auburn - The original "Blackout". This was easily the loudest, most raucous game I've ever been to. I worked at UGA at the time and a piece of my building (about 100 yards away) broke off during the game, presumably a result of the shaking that was taking place inside the stadium. CRAZY atmosphere.

2013 LSU - The Murray vs. Mett battle. This one went down to the wire and neither team ever got "comfortable". It was three and a half hours of nail-biting Hell.

2007 UF - Not technically an "away" game, but it's close enough. This was the midfield celebration game that led to us becoming the object of Penn Wagers' loathing for the next seven years.

2006 was at tu. 2007 was at home. We won both games.

And I will do since I've really started following A&M.

Home
Nebraska 2010 - Record student section (at the time) and back 2 back top 2 wins vs teams that have given us trouble for years. And Von's last home game.
Oklahoma 2010 - a better game than NU and vs a better team
Mississippi St 2013 - Johnny last game at Kyle.

Road

tu 2006 - ended 6 game losing streak to tu and a rare ranked road win at the time
Bama 2012 - You don't go in to the eventual national champion and #1 team's house often and come out victorious.
Duke 2013 (bowl game so not true away) - The epic come back or all comebacks.

There are a bunch of good ones on here for A&M already. The two games where I was happiest leaving Kyle were probably 2010 Nebraska and 2010 OU. 2010 OU was so unexpected and the way it unfolded made the crowd incredible (numerous goal line and 4th down stops). Nebraska was built up to for 6 weeks basically and is the loudest stadium I've ever been in. No other A&M home game I've been to or watched on TV compares to those two IMO

Craziest away game I've been to was probably Auburn in 2014. We barely scraped by ULM the week before and got absolutely destroyed by Bama two weeks before. I believe Auburn was still in the top 5 at that point. Everyone in my group expected us to get absolutely crushed when we made the trip out there

2012 Bama is the obvious choice for an away game but I thought I would throw another in the mix

In the Dan Mullen era:

2014 @LSU: it was awesome to get that win in BR especially with everyone saying we'd finish last in the West (they say that every year)

2014 Auburn: the game that vaulted us to #1 in the nation

2013 Ole Miss: we were pretty big underdogs that game with so many injuries on that team-- we started a 3rd string QB and we got the W with Dak coming off the bench in the 4th Q and won in OT

2014 A&M: the game that set up our College Gameday #2 v #3 matchup with Auburn

Epic Home:
1. 2010 Oklahoma: Homecoming. First win over #1 ranked team. First ever Gameday host. Great game from opening kickoff.

2. 2003 Nebraska: Broke the streak. Incredible stuff.

3. Technically not home, but 2007 kansas. Border War's greatest game ever. Both Top 5.

Epic Away:

1976 Ohio State: Bit off the wall pick here, but man was this a game. Ending was amazing. Go for 2 and the win, miss but get a penalty. Get another chance and convert to win against Woody.

1975 vs. #2 Texas A&M - Riding high after beating Texas the week prior, the Aggies came in to LR's War Memorial Stadium and came out with a 31-6 arse-whoopin. Arkansas shared the conf. title with A&M and Texas but Arkansas got to go to the Cotton Bowl to play UGA who fared a tad bit better than the Aggies...losing to the Hogs 31-10.
LINK

1981 vs. #1 Texas The Hogs steamroll the Longhorns thanks to forcing 7 turnovers and superb play from RB Gary Anderson and QB Tom Jones. Texas actually scores a TD and 2-pont conv. in the last minute to make it a 42-11 final.
LINK

1998 vs. Alabama - Houston Nutt's 1st year and a beatdown of Alabama 42-6. I remember buying tickets before the game and they were in the Alabama section. The Tide-fans talked a lot of trash for about 2 quarters. When a lot of them were heading to the exits early in the 4th quarter my sweet saint of a wife who was annoyed by the constant talk all game stood up and yelled " Where are you folks running off to? We arent done yet!" Totally out of character coming from her, and that's what makes this part of my top 3.

Road game: 2007 @ #1 LSU - 3 overtimes and it was the last time that Les Miles referred to Arkansas as ar-Kansas. I remember riding down the elevator with my brother and my Aunt (who is a huge Tiger fan) and 20 other LSU fans. It seemed very akward because we (my brother and I) were so full of joy surrounded by so many heart-broken fans. We remained civil out of respect.

'84 vs. Florida St. - beat the Seminoles soundly and got our highest ranking ever, #2

'12 vs Georgia - no one was beating us that night.

'10 vs Bama - first win over a #1 ranked team, a pretty thorough beating.

'10 @ Florida - mainly due to the fact it gave us our only division title, and I believe Lattimore may still be dragging Gators all over the field.

That 2000 A&M-Oklahoma game was huge. Aggy lost (surprise, surprise), but that was a gigantic game. I remember that Toombs running back dragging Rocky Calmus and some other Sooners 15 yards into the end zone.

Oh, yeah, 27-25 was pretty big.

Home #2 - #6 South Carolina 35 #5 Georgia 7 - 2012

Home #3 - #13 South Carolina 20 #12 Clem U 7 - 1987

Road - South Carolina 17 #17 Michigan 14 - 1980...pre-season top 10 Michigan was heavily favored against an unranked Gamecock club and the wolverines had just suffered a last-second loss the week prior at #8 Notre Dame on a 51 yard field goal. George Rogers rushed for 142 yards on 36 carries and a 2 touchdowns to launch his 1980 Heisman winning campaign on national tv. Carolina gave Michigan it's 2nd and final loss of the season as UM finished 10-2, Big 10 and Rose Bowl champions and a #5 national ranking. it was also the first time Michigan had lost back-to-back non-conference games since 1967.
