Good list but don't agree with the order. I would put
1. Bama (obviously)
2. OSU
3. Clemson
4. Oregon

How is TCU 3 even though they haven't made the playoffs yet?

Since the inception of the College Football playoff, the following schools have won their conference:
ACC - Florida State, Clemson
Big Ten - Ohio State, Michigan State
Big 12 - Oklahoma, Baylor/TCU
PAC 12 - Oregon, Stanford
SEC - Alabama
Anyone outside of those 10 schools should not be in the discussion of "Top 10"
1. Ohio State (beat Alabama)
2. Alabama
3. Clemson
4. Oregon
5. Oklahoma
6. Florida State
7. Michigan State
8. Stanford
9. Baylor
10. TCU

Are these your personal rankings or is there data behind it?
Alabama, Florida State, Michigan State, Ohio State and Ole Miss are the only two teams to make NY6 games in both seasons. Alabama has a title and a playoff appearance, so that puts them #1. Ohio State has the other title, so that puts them #2
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
#3 is where it gets really weird. Oregon and Clemson have championship appearances, but the other season wasn't great. Florida State is 0-2 in their appearances and Michigan State is 1-1, but got drubbed in their playoff appearance. I give Sparty the edge.
3. Michigan State
4. Florida State
Here's where the argument really starts. Clemson and Oregon's title game appearance and 9/10 game win seasons vs. Ole Miss' two NY6 appearances.
5. Clemson
6. Oregon
7. Ole Miss
For the final three, you have the following candidates. Oklahoma has a playoff appearance. Stanford and TCU have a Ny6 win.
8. Oklahoma
9. Stanford
10. TCU
Same teams as you - I have Stanford in over Baylor and TCU way down and Ole Miss way up.

Alabama couldn't beat OSU this year because they didn't even make the playoffs.
Alabama is #1 just for the fact they are the only team to make both CFPs

This is a strong top 10 ... But it's obvious you're allowing your strong emotional ties to your former Big XII counterparts to get in the way of you making a truly objective list.

The man has OU at 5. I think that is pretty fair.

Alabama at #1 in both the "living in the past" and the "living in the present" polls

How is TCU 3 and they never made the playoffs

Still not sure why this is a big deal
If it's not a playoff, who cares?

Ole Miss finishes ranked 17th in 2014 and 10th in 2015 with no conference or divisional titles to show = top 10 program....science. 2 year sample sizes are fun, though

I don't know if you were aware but they beat Alabama two times, so, automatic

Judging by this thread and this thread alone... LSU and Tennessee posters care a great deal.
