In Mark Ingram's 2009 Heisman year

Ingram had 16 rushes for 30 yards against Auburn. He also had 3 games under 60 yards and 5 games under 100 yards. If Fournette is so bad with 1 game under 150 yards, and only one disaster game, what was so special about Ingram?
50 yards against Arky and 56 yards against Florida international.
Gumps need to start looking at home instead of criticizing others.

Ingram didn't deserve the Heisman.

So you're saying the runningback with the best stats didn't win the hei2man that year?

Ingram was lucky because he got to play in the SEC Championship game. He had a huge game against Florida and I think that really helped. Fournette needs a big game in the championship game as well...

I totally agree with you. 1 game does not define his season. The kid is amazing and deserves the heisman.

And people said Louisianians don't like Mark Ingram, pretty clear they love using him to defend Leonard Fournette.

Y'all talked an enormous amount of shite leading up to the game and are now whining because it's getting thrown back at you. Dwi.

Ingram didn't deserve the Heisman in a down year for the Heisman in general. Your comparison is awful. According to the Heisman narrative that has been pretty clearly established by now Booger didn't meet the criteria of playing big in your biggest game of the season. Ingram did that.

and if that had been the final big game he played in, he wouldn't have won the heisman. but the game of the year was the next week and he balled the frick out to win the sec title with the whole nation watching.
fournette doesn't have an opportunity like that left on the schedule. this was his shot at a heisman moment and he blew it.
also, bama beat auburn that day.

0 losses for Ingram that year... important stat. Disappearing during a loss is bad m'kay.

The South Carolina game won the Heisman for Ingram. He played QB and RB and won that game all by himself.

damn i guess he will just have to end his season against one of the worst Rush defenses in the country.
I think Fournette can make up the ground he lost in that game.

Ingram won the Heisman in the SEC Championship by running on the 2nd best defense in the country.
Ingram performed in the biggest games, Fournette has not. Fournette hasn't proven anything this year other than he's been run to death by his coaches against awful defenses to cover up LSU's shitey qb play.

When you lay an egg in the biggest game of the season...sure it does. How many people watched Fournette's terrible game

Another year where a white Stanford RB was robbed.

Fournette and the LSU offense failed on their biggest stage.
Ingrams game against Auburn was not Alabama's biggest game. IIRC that 09 game was a mid afternoon Friday after Thanksgiving game. Auburn made the game very close, but going in to it, it wasn't regarded as a big game.
If LSU finds their way back to the SECCG and Fournette carries the team on its back, then he will probably win it. Otherwise, no.

It also didn't hurt that after the South Carolina game (the game in which he exploded into the race) the media kept on repeating the story line that Alabama had never had a Heisman winner.

You recall correctly. It was the first of a double header that wasn't even being called by Verne and Gary. They were calling the FSU-Florida game.

Since you feel that way, let me give a dose of reality.
There's nothing you or the rest of the whining LSU fans can do to reverse Leonard Fournette not only failing, but failing to Saban's team during the highest rated CFB game this season.
Ingram has a Heisman and Saturday night saw Fournette lose his. Bonus: He probably lost it to another Alabama player.
Every day since Saturday has revealed a new level of delusion for you guys.
Medication and counseling - you'll need some to get through the holidays.
