I'm tired of people trying to argue the Big 10/PAC 12 are on our level

Every week it seems the media tries harder and harder to make those conferences measure up to the SEC. This week it's all about the PAC with UCLA and Utah, and there's always the Michigan State/OSU Big 10 worshippers.

There is a difference between a good team that has to play 3 games a year they have any realistic chance of losing and a good team that has to play double that. Look at Ohio State, they play TWO games all year against teams that have any hope of beating them. UCLA plays about 4.

I want to see Ohio State line up and play Bama, LSU, Georgia, State, Ole Miss, A&M, Auburn and Florida all in the same season and see what the frick happens. Not one game that you get a month to prepare for but three solid months of playing 6-8 teams who are consistently recruiting and ranked in the top 25.

I guarantee you not one team from the PAC or Big 10 wins more than 9 games with that schedule and none make the playoff.

Ohio State would destroy some SEC teams dude. Just because they don't face many worthy opponents doesn't mean their coaching staff and team aren't excellent.

Which team in the SEC has done this?

Welcome my friend. We've been saying this since about 2006.

There are a number of LSU teams that I firmly believe would have won a title had they been in another conference. 2006 and 2012/13 come to mind.

An 8-10 win SEC team could be an 11 win team in the Big 10.

Not one team in the SEC wins more than three games with that schedule. Two games if Toledo is on the schedule.

Also, drop the "our" shite. A&M has done nothing to contribute to the SEC's aura. Unless you are Alabama, LSU, or Florida, just shut up.

I agree. No question Ohio State was the best team at the end of last year, but for the first half of the season or so, they were not very good, getting spanked on their home field by an ACC team that finished with a losing record. But, because of their schedule, they were able to get through that half season with only one loss and were still alive for the playoff when they started to put things together. Play half a season like that in the SEC and you're 2-4 or 3-3 wondering how you're going to get bowl eligible, and you're certainly not talking about making the playoff.

I noticed all those Duck fans from the last few years have all flown west for the football season.

You're just prepping your defense now why A&M should still be ranked after you lose the next 3.

I am disappoint.

I know yall are new to this, but in the SEC we don't throw a hissy-fit because media tries to pump up other conferences. We sit there and let them do it, then go 6-0 against the big 10 in bowl season and make the media look like idiots.

B1G is extremely top heavy. There's OSU, MSU, Wiscy (to a lesser extent), then a massive drop off. Pac 12 just sucks.

Ohio state lost to Va.Tech at home last season. A&M plays 4 tough games maybe. That's a whole 1 game more than the buckeyes.

If you look at the schedule and see 5+ "big" games, you probably aren't cheering for a playoff team anyway.

TBH, the SEC needs to pipe down a bit for the moment.
Of the Power 5 conferences, the SEC collectively has played against other power 5 conferences the least. Only 7 games so far in '15. Contrast to the B1G having played 19.
Plus , as a conference we're losing, or nearly losing , to mediocre to pathetic teams. The biggest stand out win, aTm over ASU, is tainted since ASU lost another game badly. The next biggest win? Maybe Bama s over Wisconsin, but that doesn't make headlines.
Sure, I think the SEC is the strongest conference, but I really don't have anything to support my beliefs.

The sec is the better conference but the gap between them isn't as big as most SEC fans think.

MSU is making a killing off their Oregon win. Oregon gave up 62 points Saturday. If the big 10 gets 2 teams in the playoff that is a dam crime.
