You should have faith in him because in the last 6 years he has been to the cws 3 times with 2 different programs. In those 3 visits he has won the National Title 2 times.
He is currently 1 of 2 college baseball head coaches with multiple national titles.

In the last 6 years JJ has made the cws 3 times with 2 different programs and winning 2 titles in those visits. It's safe to say this season is the outlier.

The word "best " is subjective. Jay Johnson having a top 3 resume in college baseball is objective.

Bad seasons happen to good coaches. 2 years ago UCLA was 19-31 (9-21 in conf) and now they are poised to win the title. A ton of Hall of Fame coaches have had shite seasons. Every program in America would sign up for this season if it meant they got a NC in 2023 and 2025.

You realize every good coach has had shite years... during the 90's Skip finished 5th in sec and didn't make it out of a regional ans that was when 6 teams in the country cared about baseball. It happens. His resume shows him as a great coach. Not my opinion.
