Rome is Beginning To Crumble

Since 2009, teams have been trying to take down Alabama.
Saban and Alabama won three National Championships and dominated recruiting for years. In 2013, The Empire began to crack. The Kick Six and the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma was just the beginning.
Then last year, Ole Miss knocked off the Tide in Oxford. Despite that loss, Alabama would go on to the CFP and play against Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. Despite being the number 1 seed and having a big lead in the game, Saban and the Tide lost to Ohio State.
This season, there has been turmoil in Tuscaloosa. Rumors of coordinators boning Saban's daughter, a home loss to Ole Miss, terrible quarterback play, and disgruntlement within the fanbase. With a loss to UGA this weekend, Alabama would have two losses in the SEC. And it is only Week 5.
It would also be the first time Alabama had 2+ SEC losses since 2010. And Alabama still has 4 ranked teams remaining on their schedule.
The run has been incredible for Alabama, but for now, it appears the structure of Alabama's empire is beginning to crumble. If UGA beats Bama this weekend, it could signal the end of Bama's run.

Isn't that what David Housel said? looks like the Roman Empire stuck around for awhile.

Tide Nation is eating it's own. The barbarians are at the gate and there are too many holes in the dike to stick their fingers in now. I'm going to enjoy this "process" much better.

why people call for this now when our defense is finally on the upswing is beyond me. The time to call for such would have been the last two year I think.

There's just more parity. Alabama still hasn't been blown out by Ohio State, who absolutely lynch mobbed Oregon who lynch mobbed FSU.
Alabama will, for the foreseeable future, be feared. No one plays them thinking they are the favorites.
Bama's fine, they will continue to be fine, and their program will continue to be respected.

When you win 3 NCs in a 4 year span its hard to go anywhere but down..
2009, 11, 12 NCs
2013, One second away from OT and possibly playing for a NC
2014, made the first ever CFB playoff.
2015, a loss to a good team early in the season and COULD bounce back and make a run.
I mean damn you would think we've been having 8-5 seasons they way people are talking.

And people blame Bama fans for acting like the sky is falling after every single loss, yet opposing fans state the same garbage (just looking in from the outside).
This is just dumb. If Bama beats Georgia Saturday all is well and people will be singing Saban's praises again. Even if they lose there is no reason to think the program is going under and wouldn't be right back in competetion next year.

You forgot Auburn decline.
You forgot Saban to Colts at end of year.
You forgot Ritter is in Bama's backpocket and will handle all officiating for Bama.
Saban's daughter was the meanest thing ever at the Lab School when she was in Baton Rouge, they asked her to leave.

It all started in Athens, why not end it there

Yep. I think at worst, this ends up being another 2010.

I'll be pulling hard for Georgia, but the statistical rankings say Bama is still pretty good.

Nobody stays #1 forever. Bama may be looking at some down years but they'll bounce back eventually because the fans demand championships. They could be in for a rough decade once Saban gets run out of town though.

Take out possibly. Anyone think Missouri would have beaten Bama?
