If that is what happened, I don't blame Tunsil in the least. Sometimes there is more to a story than meets the eye. This may or may not be one of those situations and none of us will probably ever know.

If he was defending his mom, which looks to be the case, I don't have a problem with this at all.

Glad to hear it, I'll call Oxford and post his bond now that I know...

Strangely enough, just because someone is large doesn't mean that they hit hard. Not that I want to get hit by the guy, but the big dudes generally can't generate the hand speed that the smaller guys can. I've seen 160 lb dudes that hit like a train because of the fast-twitch muscles.

It does, however, mean that he could probably rip the face off of most normal people.

Morally, I would agree (assuming the facts are as presented) that Tunsil was right. Legally, it's a lot murkier. Unless his mom was in imminent danger of real harm (a shove doesn't rise to that by itself unless it put her in actual danger either by the force of it or the objects around her) the law is going to ask Tunsil why he didn't call the cops to deal with it.

...and he'll say, "Because I'm not a pussy, like my step dad."

He freaked up. He admitted to a crime of domestic violence.

I am 6'3 and 230, I bet that I can muster up enough speed to knock you on your arse....
Props to Tunsil, if he was defending his mom for an abuser husband.

Would you let Laremy Tunsil hit you?

He was defending his MOTHER. Do you have a mom? Would you stand by and let someone shove or punch her? You are a Beta pursy if you do, and deserve to have your arse kicked.

Strangely enough, just because someone is large doesn't mean they're slow or don't know how to throw a punch.

His hands are massive and he's strong as shite. My guess is that he's not lacking in that area.
And at the sorry son of a bitches that want something else to come out of this that could somehow damage Ole Miss. How embarrassing.

Are you fricking illiterate? Read my post. I said it was morally defensible but the cops are still going to ask why he didn't call them because the law is pretty clear on these things.

No, he was arrested for hitting his step dad.
You don't get arrested for defending your mom.

Are you fricking stupid? Have some fricking common sense. The OPD is going to know why he didn't pick up the telephone and dial 911 instead of protecting his mother.

If he was protecting his mom he gets a pass but we were not there to know that for sure. The step father might've said roll tide or war eagle before the punch.
