Mom graduated from the University of Michigan.
Dad graduated from Texas A&M University (in his case, he is actually from Bryan/College Station).
Grew up rooting for both, and my wife and I attended the latter![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

All my life I hit that line, I mean REALLY hit that line and I've kept on going. I have ran the ball right down the field, Guys. Will you give me a cheer? No? I'll never fear. Arkansas and Sao will never yield. I've been on my toes, like the Razorbacks, to the finish and I've carried on with all my might. You know why? Because it's A R K A N S A S for Arkansas and we fight, fight I mean absolutely kick arse fight.
Whom else would I follow?

Two degrees from UA for me, two for my wife, two for my daughter and three for my son - too much money invested to cheer for anyone else.

My great grandfather, grandparents, father, aunt ,uncle, cousins, and I all went to Tennessee. Johnny Majors sent me a blanket when I was little, which I still own.
Plus I was born and raised in Florida and I'm contrarian by nature.

I have high self-esteem, so I figured I'd cheer for a team that would be no help whatsoever in that regard.
Also, I'm a second generation graduate of my school, so there is that.

If you aren't a graduate or currently attending the school you cheer for you are a trashy person

By all rights I should be a State fan. Everyone except my mom and one other relative, on both sides of my family went to and graduated from State. I was attached to my mom's hip until I started school. Whenever State would beat Ole Miss in any sports, I felt bad for her because she was always being ganged up on. So I became an Ole Miss fan. Not really sure when I made my mind up but it was when I was really young.
Up until probably 2011 I had been to more Mississippi State football games and I've still been to more State baseball games than Ole Miss games. My dad, brother, uncle and cousins used to try and go to at least one weekend game at Dudy Noble every weekend State had a home series. Was usually the Sunday game. I'm only the second person in my family to graduate from Ole Miss.

Became a fan as a preteen after watching the 2001 SEC championship game.

Graduated from both Auburn and LSU. I'm the first in my family to attend either school, so there was little influence pre-college.

Been a fan since the Fall of '67. Saw the light as an 11 year old, despite having Bammer parents.

My grandfather went to undergrad at LSU, graduated and left to go kill Nazi's, came back to get his Master's degree.
My mom, aunt, uncle, sister and I graduated from LSU. I loved LSU because I didn't know better. Today, I'm glad I didn't know who Curley Hallman was while I was dressing up as an LSU football player for Halloween all those years.
When I finally started paying attention when I was 9 years old, I went to my first real game. Kevin Faulk was a freshman. Never loved someone I didn't know before I heard about Kevin Faulk.
I'm as real of an LSU fan as it gets

It's a jacked up world.
Grew up on OM fan and attended many games early on.
Moved to S. FL and grad HS - then went to UF and graduated.
Transferred to MSU and graduated with an MBA.
Almost went to OM for my MBA, but they didn't have an accredited graduate program for my fiancee' at the time, so MSU it was -- glad for it today!
Now pull equally for UF and MSU... except I don't call myself "GatorDawg" on here...

Remember pulling for them when I was a young boy... Went to AU on my parent's dime, party, flunked out... Matured, went to UAB on my dime... Good times!
...didn't attend one UAB football in 4 years.

Bout to graduate. I'm in my last class right now. This time next month I'll be an Ole Miss Alumn.

Pop's family has been going to Alabama for quite a long time. He and his father are boosters. They took me to every home game and most away games as a kid. Got to eat and meet with the coaching staffs several times growing up. Went to Tuscaloosa for two years before having an existential psychedelic trip that sent me on another two year adventure around the country. Finished college elsewhere, but I'll always be a Gump. I'm about to move back to God's Country, though, and I'm tempted to get a second degree at UA.
