Yeah not sure about that. Certainly more to do in Tuscaloosa. Auburn is more of a relaxed, fervent SEC football environment with a very traditional southern college town.
I don't fault people for choosing one over the other, as they're pretty different.

Now that I think about it, that's a pretty small group of people. I wonder if some of them have ties to LSU? I can't figure out how else to make sense of Baton Rouge being so high. That place is a cesspool.

I think there was some bias against expansion towns. I thought Columbia, MO would be one or two spots higher, and Fayetteville and Columbia, SC are way underrated. I'm not sure about College Station...I don't know much about it.

I don't go to games in Baton Rouge, either. But I wouldn't describe it as "extremely difficult" to travel there. A better description is "its a long drive from where I am right now as I'm writing this".
That's fair, but I do think for 5/6 big six schools, they view trips to Fayetteville as inconvenient. It's obviously underrated in the town rankings.

Baton Rouge and Knoxville are always overrated in my opinion. Both have good schools and are fun, but are in something of dumpy settings. Plus they're too large to be that highly ranked while also being kinda shitty.

I mean I'm sure Auburn students would prefer Auburn but there is zero, z-e-r-o reason for UA students to drive all that way unless it's rodeo weekend or they've got a love interest. The story just sounds like bullshite.

There's a Tennessee slant for some reason.
I'm fine with people thinking BR and CS are better college towns than Fayetteville, as long as that means they don't move here.

Knoxville is at least in a beautiful area, even if the town is something of a dump. Baton Rouge has nothing going for it, with the notable exception of a high ratio of loose college girls.

Nashville is a CITY and shouldn't even be in the conversation.

I disagree with Knoxville being #4. I had a good time last year at the game, but didn't like the bar situation. Everything was a little too spread out. Agree with Nashville, but I think CoMo should be a little higher.

I don't know that I'd go that far. Tuscaloosa has more offerings, Auburn is a nicer setting, IMO. I imagine students at both visit the other for friends or simple variety at some point. The only reason AU kids when I was in school visited Tuscaloosa as a matter of course was for an occasional concert, but usually Atlanta was easier.

I know a few Bama students from central Alabama that went over for that schindig even though the Greek spring parties were going on Bama's campus.

Agree with that, but Knoxville, overall, is depressing as hell. Makes no sense to include it for surrounding beauty but rank Fayetteville so low (which is a much nicer town also situated in a nice area).

Columbia, SC is a very cool city and is way underrated in this list.
People who come here for football games don't ever actually visit the city of Columbia, except for the shitty chain restaurants they eat on the way out of town.
Hell, 95% of the away people who have attended a game at USC never step foot on campus.
