Just curious which of these two seasons would Miss. State fans consider to be the greatest season in your entire football history?

Going 8-5 and losing the SEC championship game?

OR
Being ranked #1 most of the season only to get knocked out of the playoffs by your big brother rival from out of state and big brother rival from in state?

1940 (not 1941) is the obvious answer.

I'd rather 1998 or 2013 be considered our best season, unlike Ole Miss whose best is 1960. Yes, that 1960, when only white folks could play in the South, and you had one platoon football. How many times have your Rebels ever won 10 games in a regular season?

They have 2 ten win seasons since 1999. How many does ole miss have?

Oh, that's right, you have 2 since 1963

Would Ole Miss have been able to beat Jackson State during their glory years and "national titles" in the late 50s/early 60s?

I doubt it. These schools should at least be listed alongside the "real" national champions through the late 1960s.

Well if the OP knew the history the '40 and '41 seasons would have been listed. Mid 20th century history is something I would expect an OM to be keen on.
