Your coach retires tomorrow and you can pluck any coach from any non power 5 team to come run your program. Who you got?
I think Id go with Mark Hudspeth. He's had 4 9 win seasons in a row at a school that hadn't had a winning season since 93. His first year, he took them to their first bowl in 43 years. I think he'll get a shot at a big program pretty soon and he'll do a great job.

Willie Fritz. Did wonders for Sam Houston State, and won the Sun Belt in his first season at Georgia Southern.

Mark Hudspeth has done a pretty solid job with the ULL program. He's had four straight 9-4 seasons with a New Orleans Bowl win in each after coming into a program that was barely surviving.

If you don't consider ND power 5, Id want Kelly. If you do, I'd go with Mendenhall.

You are in the SEC now, this does not compute?
If you are an SEC school you are not limited to non Power 5 schools. Drop the old B12 thinking and get with the new way of thinking.

Good choice as well. He's done a really good job at Memphis.

He has, and it's really, really tough to do well at Memphis.

It was all Odom though...
Nah, he's done a great job. He'll be moving up soon.

Russ Huesman from UT-Chattanooga.

Pete Carroll. The Seahawks are not a power 5.

People from Alabama are way too infatuated with Clark. He's a good up and coming coach, but he is still yet to be proven. He's done well, but he's only been a HC for two years. I would much rather go with a guy who has had more sustained success.

Somebody who built a program from nothing into a steady contender. Guys who show up and replace prior good coaches are really iffy bets.
Bohl is probably as good a choice as any.
