1. Tony got fired after an 8-5 & 7-5 season. He's going to have to compete at a higher level for job security at UH. He had it perfect at UF with a down East and all the recruits in the world and still couldn't get it done.
2. It doesn't matter what the final record is if he isa DC, It is all about how the defense fairs. Look at what a hot commodity Bud Foster is after VT having multiple not so great year.
It isn't about job security. Muschamp will always be able to get a DC job. If he wants to be a major HC again he has to take a job like Houston.

They are a pathetic bunch.
Are you new to this rivalry and do you really think Auburn fans don't revel in Bama misery?

It's pretty crummy to accept the Auburn DC job and then interview at Houston.

Correct board, huh?
Considering how many SEC programs his name has been linked to?
Yes.

I agree. He can learn to be a HC at Houston.

Muschamp needs more head coaching experience at this point than he does more D-coordinator experience. If he does well at Houston he will be back as a head coach on the power 5 level in just a few years. Plus, a head coaching at Houston job will out pay a D-coordinator job. Plus, Muschamp has a lot of Texas roots.

And don't be surprised if the Big 12 goes after Houston.

Didn't do it for one and wasn't trying for the other.

Never going to happen. UH doesn't bring anything they don't already have as far as TVs. Plus tu has basically boycotted UH for 20 years now. They're afraid of what UH can become. Just think if they were in the Big XII, Art would have never left, and UH would be the ones getting left out of the playoff, not BU.

He has interviewed at Houston, who else are they looking at and do they want him?

Tom Herman was a name I heard is the favorite. Looking at the recent history they've gone high flying offensive guy.

Maybe, but if he doesn't do well there it will take a LONG time for him to get a shot at a better school. Big gamble for someone his age. 2-3 years as a coordinator will help repair his image.
