Post Evidence Regarding What Really Happened After MSST Went Up 34-10 Versus LSU

There's still a handful of LSU fans here that think the 4th quarter of the game indicates how good LSU is.
I rarely see an LSU fan acknowledge that Mississippi State took their foot off the gas or that Mississippi State may have put in their backups.
So what really happened? Did Mississippi State pump the brakes and sub the backups? Or did LSU shut Mississippi State down and make a true game of it in the 4th quarter versus the same team that went up 24 points earlier?

It's all about your perspective man

MSU had backups in for 1 drive then decided clearly that wasnt the smart case.
They certainly helped us with the bad snap, but turnovers are part of the game.
"What if" LSU doesnt give Ole Miss the ball 4 times through 2 INT and 2 fumbles and miss a chip shot FG; we probably win by 14-17 points. Not to even mention we flat out dropped 3 INT.
Harris also played out of his mind, and that's never something we could have got out of Jennings. Harris is very talented though, and the Auburn game was unfortunately his nail in the coffin for this season IMO.

You're bringing this up now? Who cares, LSU is obviously a different team now.

MSU let up
LSU took advantage
What do we know about MSU defensively? Strong upfront, suspect to defending deep ball.
LSU made some plays down the field at the end. Doesn't matter, because MSU is clearly a much better team, even now. I'd still take them by two TDs on a neutral field.

Little bit of both. We got very careless at the end cause we figured it was in the bag. Dan also should've kicked a field goal early in the 4th but decided to go for it to burn more clock, but we got stuffed IIRC. Regardless we were and still are the better team so why does this matter all of the sudden?

Who cares both LSU and State are going to beat Bama

Two weeks gump. You're making a case for yourself and we all know it. This thread is not about State or LSU.
State clearly was the better team. But when the game can be won on the last throw of the game, it is most certainly not domination no matter how both teams looked before they got there.

How will it feel to lose to both Mississippi schools in the same year?
Say you're scared. Lil Nicky is.

Why is it that State let up?, yet last year LSU did not let up on Auburn according to AU fans. Who in the frick cares, both Auburn last year and LSU this year became different teams. It does happen you know? Alabama is NOT the only team that improves!!!!

So what really happened?
a full 60 minutes of football were played

MSU got to the LSU 1 yard line with 39 minutes left in the game and took a knee. Then, did the same with 17 minutes left in the game and again on three more different series. Could have easily scored another 35 points.
There make you feel better about Bama chances in two weeks? What an arse

This.
Brandon Harris caught fire late against their subs. They straight up dominated LSU in Tiger Stadium and nearly lost it because of an incredible comeback.

LSU fans used a sneaky, veteran tactic to lull Miss St to sleep. The fans left in the 4th quarter, Miss St thought the game was over, but LSU kept playing hard. It almost worked. We were all huddled outside the stadium ready to storm back in and celebrate if we completed the comeback.

Who cares? LSU had a horrible game and MSU played really well. If the game were played today, LSU would probably win.
I will say this, LSU was one lucky play away from stealing the win back...ONE catch on the last play and LSU wins.
So think what you want, MSU's coaching staff wasn't playing backups....what you saw at the end is what should have been happening earlier in the game.
Miss St is a very good team and should not be discredited for getting the win. But they absolutely were trying to stop LSU in the 4th.

Hey, Gump, LSU beat Ole Miss. That was something the Todd wasn't able to do.
Go play in traffic.

Are you trying to come up with reasons you will lose to us in your home stadium? By bringing our game with LSU up?
Posted on 10/27/14 at 8:31 am to Cumulonimbus
We weren't as bad as we played
And I'd love to play that game again now
