Every tu fan I know rooted for the Sooners in the Sugar Bowl. The Aggies own so much real estate in their heads over SEC dominance they had no choice.

OOC, sure. Especially SEC teams v. Notre Dame, USCw, Clemson.

I always rooted for SEC teams when I lived in Arkansas, but now that I'm in PAC 12 territory, I DEFINITELY root for SEC teams. I love how much they hate the brotherhood that goes along with it. They can't stand the SEC SEC SEC chant.

I dont consider myself pro-SEC but I do tend to root for SEC teams OOC because I like to watch all the games and I get more into the game when I actually care who wins. It also reflects good on the entire conference when SEC teams win.

I'll never understand the need to pull for your rivals. You think Michigan was pulling for tOSU yesterday? You think Texas will be pulling for OU?
No.
I will admit that I don't always root for Bama and will admit that I did enjoy watching you to lose to OU in the Sugar Bowl last year.
But.............. Why should you root for your rivals and conference brethren?
Because losses by Ohio State and Michigan State last night virtually destroyed the chances that the Big Ten Champion gets into the 4 team playoff this year. I'm certain most Big Ten fans wanted Wisconsin to destroy LSU last week. Those OOC losses really hurt that conference bad. Meantime, the SEC won all their OOC games and maintained their status as King.
Sometimes you really need your rivals to win big OOC games, because it helps your team if/when they need some help at the end of the season to get into post season play. Bama won the National Title in 2011 simply because the SEC had so much clout that year with huge OOC wins by LSU, Bama, and other SEC schools.

That school is made up of nothing but turds!

I'd like to say yes but I always pull against State. Being able to mess with my dad about losing to anyone is fun.

You're part of the problem. frick the SEC and every other team in this league. I'm a Georgia fan and couldn't give 2 shits who won or lost in our league.

Root for the SEC team OOC. Otherwise I root for whatever will help Mizzou out the most.

I was pro LSU when they played Wisconsin. I was pro Georgia when they played Clemson. I'm really pulling for Tennessee to blow the doors of Oklahoma. Just seeing a common thread of hate amongst the brethren...

Yes, I root for all SEC schools OOC.
Except NCAA Baseball, where LSU has dominated and carried the SEC mantle, I'd prefer not see it be SEC Big Four or Five like Football. In that regard I'm like UK Hoops fan(and Arky under Richarson), rather enjoying being the SEC's bell cow. But, did pull for Tanner to finally win one after being so close on multiple occasions.

Usually. I'm a big LSU fan, and we've learned over the past decade plus that strength of schedule makes a difference. I think the choice in 2003 between LSU and USC came down to the outcome of a WAC game; "our" team won and we went to the BCS. Had the other team won, USC would have.
If selecting the playoff participants is a beauty contest, and you really don't fear anyone else, then you want to be in the prettiest group; emerging from that will give you a boost.
