I was excited. I'm now underwhelmed. Tebow is not very good. I don't care much about watching past games. I was (and still am) hoping for some good original content focusing on the various schools and their athletic programs.
I would like to see some on-campus stories. History of the schools, interesting facts about the towns, the alumni, whatever.

I hear people saying it will get better once they get settled in but you would think they would have it figured out by now. (ESPN)

So far, so good.
Thursday afternoon and evening will probably be the high water mark before the season starts.

PF being on air 3 hrs a day says it all for my take on it. Never heard him on the radio, heard all the Jerry Springer horror comments, watched it for 4 days, am now an ex watcher. He ran the tape on Saban's call out to him 4 different times yesterday, he was practically giddy at being one of Saban's 4 to be challenged.

I've actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. The documentaries and classic games are great.
Only issue is with the finebaum show. I'm not a hater of his like most of y'all, but I do think that show is pretty horrid

It'll be better once football starts. Not big on a bunch of talking heads rehash the same shite day after day after day.

As a Bama fan, I've got to say that McElroy needs to throttle back his presentation. He can make some good points, but he sounds so fake and scripted. He's too polished.
As for the rest of the Network, it won't be as great as some say. There will be a lot of dead time that will be filled by women's soccer and SEC Storied replays. It also won't be as bad as others say.
I think the complaint about Finebaum & his callers are spot on. I hate that he's (and his callers) are sort of the face of the network.

That's right they are having or have had a special showing how Bo, Sir Charles and the Big Hurt basically revitalized AU athletics. I understand Bo, but I must of missed the last 30 years of greatness in the Auburn baseball and basketball programs? I agree it was unique to have those guys there at the same time, but that is about it. Pat Dye turned around Auburn football and sorry but no one yet has taken basketball and baseball to extended success.

The On Air Personalities suck. Looks like they are going young and cheap with these ex-players. Most of them seem to be trying too hard. Would love to see someone like a Tony Barnhart on the show instead of those theme feed ex-players. Finebaum is not the same a-hole he was in Birmingham. He kisses every guests arse and creamed all over himself after Saban called out his name. They will need more controversial personalities to be successful.

So on Saturday Mornings, will you guys be watching the SEC network's "gameday" or will you be watching ESPN's gameday? Does it depend on where the show is that day?

I just hate that Pawl takes up the whole fricking afternoon. Put him at six in the morning with Mike and Mike

The SEC Gameday is not going to tell us anything we haven't heard all week. Plus, I watch ESPNs Gameday for the entertainment value (Corso). If Les Miles ever retires, I would love to see him in the Corso role.

They have made a final 8 appearance and a few sweet 16s. The baseball team has had a few top 20 finishes since the 80s.

They are getting their feet wet with this new network.
Viewer feedback will surely dictate future programming.
The guys (tim/greg) should get more comfortable in front of the camera once they actually have something to discuss, like real game footage, wins/loses, rankings, etc.

Maybe, but what I have seen is nobody is there that will challenge the young guys when they throw out a stupid analysis. It seems that they are being force answers instead of giving a natural response. Finebaum seems starstruck with some of his guest. He is good when he plays the a-hole interviewer and coach attacker.

Its about what I expected from Tier 3 content. It'll get better when the season starts.
The talking heads really need to loosen up though, there are times when the commentary pieces seem like they are a college journalism class with a good IT guy.

Could not agree more.

I watched some of the Finebaum simulcast the other day. I liked the part when PF was talking to I-Man and he let Jim from Tuscaloosa call in and call him names. Very original - never heard that one before.
Seriously though - SECN needs the season to hurry up and start.

As someone said when the OSU/LSU game was being replayed, there is NO REASON when there is no live football to not just show the whole 3 hour game. I mean is there more important programing really going on?
As a fan of the B1G network, there is only so much you can report on for anything. The only time I EVER switch to the B1G network is during football season and when OSU plays basketball on it. Aside from those 12 saturdays and 4-5 other times, I may tun in for a replay 2-3 times a year

Paul and the former players have not been impressive, I guess I'll give Stinchcomb(sp?)a pass, he isn't bad. Should improve when live games are covered.
