Both are #2 seeds. Would they just keep Washington in the state for another week?

It'd go to the NCAA committee who would determine where the Super would be played.

Which would then be given to State, but I don't see the decision having to be made.

I would bet they give it to Washington because of travel.

Is that how it works? Honest question. Because wasn't UW reeeeal close to hosting a regional?

Yeah but I think the amount of money the NCAA would make at Dudy Noble would have some serious pull vs Washington

It's really not that much money in the grand scheme of things, but I get what you are saying...

Yeah, I think in this unlikely scenario MSU would end up hosting due to $$$.

We would average 14,000 per game. It would come down to bids. We would host just as we did in 2007 v. Clemson.

If the National Seed wins, they host.

After that, it is the highest seed. So if Ga Tech(our 3 seed) and Jackson State(ULL's 4 seed) were to win the regionals, Ga Tech would get the Host.

If the rankings are the same(#2vs#2, #3vs#3, or #4vs#4), it is a BID between the two schools. Highest bid gets to host.

I think this happened to Clemson and Bama a few years ago. Clemson ended up hosting. I don't remember why though.

I'd say it's 50/50... depends on what THIS committee decides is important.

Is Ole Miss playing twice today if they lose? If not Washington wouldn't win a regional today.

Huh? Y'all would bid. The committee has no say.

The committee says which "bid" wins -- numbers which are not disclosed and haven't been for a long time now. It's not as simple of a process as it once was(based purely on money).

They could say "it's unfair to send Washington, who was closer to hosting than MSU and ranked higher, across the country to Mississippi two weeks in a row." When given the opportunity, they could want a Super in the NW to keep the geography of college baseball spread out(as they've been doing for a few years now in regionals). There are a lot of potential reasons that they could send us to Washington depending on what they value...

Ahhh, makes sense. I've always been under the impression it was just a $$ bid.
