Through a special partnership with Medals of Honor, Vanderbilt's Deep Water uniforms will feature names of fallen soldiers on the back with the soldiers' military branch patch on the front of the jersey. The Commodores' coaching staff will wear special Salute to Service sweatshirts with names of fallen soldiers on the front and their branch patches on the sleeve.

Which Jake Fromm shows up Saturday?

I'm gonna guess the undefeated one.
Right now, seven teams are eligible, and Texas A&M will likely get win #6 vs. New Mexico in a couple of weeks. Ole Miss won't be bowling due to infractions even if it reaches 6 wins, and there are FIVE other teams that have just 3 wins with four games to go: Vandy, Arkansas, Missouri, Florida, Tennessee.

Vanderbilt (Western KY, Kentucky, Missouri, @ Tennessee)
Arkansas (Coastal Carolina, @LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri)
Florida (@ Missouri, @ South Carolina, UAB, Florida State)
Missouri (Florida, Tennessee, @ Vanderbilt, @ Arkansas)
Tennessee (Southern Miss, @ Missouri, LSU, Vanderbilt)

Both Shreveport and Birmingham may be scrambling...

No. There is no such requirement. Vandy hasn't been the CBS Game of the Week in years.

We hosted Georgia on CBS in Week 2 of the 2015 season:

You think CBS is going to go 1/3 of the season without showing the top-ranked, highest ratings-generating team in America even once?

I would not be surprised to see any of the 7 teams in this division wind up in Atlanta.
Odd words from a guy who's 0-2 vs. Stanford so far in his career.
Alabama-Auburn
LSU-Florida
Tennessee-Ole Miss (maybe even play annually in Memphis)
Texas A&M-South Carolina
Georgia-Mississippi State
Kentucky-Arkansas
Vanderbilt-Missouri
Wouldn't mind. We've been more successful in our last three games vs. Auburn than our last three games vs. Mizzou.

Top how many advance?

My understanding is that the Top 5 teams from each of the six regionals (after 3 rounds) advance to the national championship competition.

There, the 30 teams will compete in a stroke-play competition, after which the top 8 will advance to match play for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship.

So who will be the first school to bitch because so and so had 4 home sec games and the other school that goes to ATL had 5?

I get this, but it would be matter more if it weren't already happening in other Power 5 conferences.
I am in favor of a 9-game schedule, too. For example, it is absurd that 15 years will pass between Vandy's visits to Baton Rouge (2009, 2024).

I think this may eventually happen, but it won't be because of fan complaints. It will be if/when CBS and ESPN demand it during negotiations for new TV contracts: i.e., "if you want more money, give us a better supply of games every week."
