So how many other freshmen--other than Kyle Allen--have you studied, in terms of weight room numbers?
I'm not trying to be an arse, I just honestly would never care enough about a freshman on another team, such that I'd create a thread about him.
And respond within it repeatedly.
And call out the kid.

Eta: just saw that you looked him up, b/c "we're (Ags) talking about him." For the record, that's not unusual with regard to a highly touted recruit--particularly a probable QB starter.

Shoot, we weren't allowed to talk about Johnny, now we can't discuss his replacement .

Kyle Allen Scouting report:
quote:

Bud Elliott, National Recruiting Analyst: Allen is a fantastic prospect. He has adequate size to succeed at the highest levels of college football. He's a bright guy, who really has an advanced understanding of football for a high school player. And now that he has enrolled early, he'll get some advanced work on that right away.

Arm strength is overrated unless a player doesn't have it. Allen definitely has arm strength. But that's not what makes him a special prospect. That would be his accuracy and ball placement. Allen makes a really high percentage of his throws not only to the correct receiver, but to a spot that allows the receiver to run with the football after the catch. There's accuracy, and then there is accuracy within the target. Allen also does a great job of using the right amount of velocity on each throw, putting it into tight windows, both horizontal and vertical, particularly over defenders in the second level.

Strange cause the only reason i looked him up was because aggie fans cant stop talking about him

We get shite on for "not having a qb" so we reply that we have Kyle Allen. Then we get shite on for "always talking about Kyle Allen".

Time is a flat circle.

Probably not a huge deal, but a 180 bench max just seems really low for a top recruit (even QB).

I'm weak and I can bench 215-220.

And with that, this thread will likely come to a screeching halt.

It does, but that's because it probably is wrong. Everything else about the kid screams stud. His bench press is either a typo or a weird anomaly.

This is the frigging point.

Right. Here.

I don't need Terry Crews under center. Just someone who can make the throws, respond to coaching, and execute the gameplan.

I think we'll be ok

Yes asking questions about a SEC football player on a SEC football forum is creepy. Someone break out the video camera we've made a revelation here

Except when the gameplan is "oh shite OM's D is fricking shite up again. I better use my ridiculous talent to scramble around to bail out my teammates yet again."

Ain't happening this year. We're burning THTJB to the ground.

4.9 is slow.

The kid could be great, but not JFF great. To slow to make people miss like JFF did.

Allot of factors can cause a low bench, especially someone with a large wingspan like he has. Him claiming a 400lb squat is what deserves criticism
