Is Bama holding a WR spot in this class for Terry Godwin? Depending on how this weekend goes with him, Hill or Cager might commit next week.

No shot with Godwin
Even if the bagman shows up in T-Town this weekend?

Shows up? The bagman never leaves T-Town.

Speaking of bagmen, apparently we like to hand out the cash at Full Moon:

"I'm not going to lie, food played a role in my recruitment," ESPN 300 linebacker and Alabama commit Adonis Thomas said. "It might sound goofy to a lot of people, but knowing you can eat well when you're in college is part of that at-home feeling you get when you're looking at a school.
"At Alabama, you get to eat all you want. There's good barbecue down there. I love barbecue and Chinese food, and they have some good places like that in Tuscaloosa. I fell in love with Full Moon Bar-B-Que when I was down there. Knowing you're going to find a good cooked meal is something that really is important to a football player."

Not a good coach right now IMO.
His secondaries have not really done well at MSU, and they finished this season in the hundreds in yards allowed with experienced players in the secondary.
I agree with this. He was a hell of a player, but hasn't shown much on the coaching side yet.

McElwain's first class isn't shaping up very well. Saban didn't hit many big targets in his 2007 class either, so it's definitely a wait and see. But we at least had the benefit of knowing Saban had previous recruiting success.

Coach Mac walked into an abysmal recruiting class. If he can crack the top 40-50, he's done well. And that's a sentence I never thought I'd say about Florida. They should always have top 15 classes without even trying

LOS ANGELES - The first full day of practices are in the books at the B2G West Coast Bowl. Here is a look at the top performers from Team Impact after two workouts.

5. Shawn Burgess-Becker
Recruiting wrap: Burgess-Becker is committed to Alabama.
Performance: Burgess-Becker shut down his side of the field during some light 7-on-7 work but he especially excelled in one-on-ones where he was just more physical than a lot of the wide receivers and dominated in that way. He jammed receivers at the line and then forced them out of their routes on multiple occasions. When the ball was in the air, Burgess-Becker stayed with receivers and used his hands well to knock away passes.

But I thought he had was terrible in coverage, was overrated, and that's why he dropped so far.
Kidding aside, I laugh at how much stock is put into a single week, that starts right after Christmas. Forget the previous four years, and other campus they've been. It's all about the all-star games. It sounds like he's going make a damn good safety.

In the beginning of this recruiting cycle SBB was considered the better of two between him and Ridley FWIW.

There's is no way he's gained 13 lbs in two weeks. If he gained two lbs of muscle since he's been on campus, he might end up a Sam or at least as a money.
He was probably closer to 210 arriving on campus. It's not that big of a deal for a kid to put on 8-10lbs in their first two weeks of a college strength program due to access to quality food. Gains in the weight room are a lot more about the nutrition than the work put in.
He probably has about 2-5lbs of fluctuation for water and sodium so I'm assuming he's experienced a decent 3lb gain. After the first month his weight gain will plateau and slow drastically though because his body is adjusting to a drastic change in stimuli.
This is all coming from someone who's profession and education is exercise science and nutrition.

Alabama rising sophomore cornerback Tony Brown is a dual-sport athlete for the Crimson Tide, competing in both football and track and field. Saturday afternoon, as the Alabama track and field team competes in the Vanderbilt Indoor Invitational in Nashville, Tenn., Brown won the 60-meter hurdles event with a time of 7.89, according to Alabama track and field's Twitter account (@AlabamaTrack).
quote:
Brown's winning time was the seventh-best time in Crimson Tide history, the fourth fastest in the Southeastern Conference this season and the 15th quickest in the NCAA this year.
Last season, Brown's first on Alabama's track and field roster, his best finish was third place. Earlier this season, he qualified for the finals in the 60-meter sprint, but a false start ruined his chances to place.
Brown, a former five-star recruit and the No. 2 corner prospect in the 2014 recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, played in 13 games for the Crimson Tide football team this past season, starting against Florida and Ole Miss. He recorded 10 total tackles (seven solo) and broke up one pass.
