Strength of schedule is a reach, especially since no one played FSU close. Auburn has clearly gad dome breaks go their way. FSU just dominated everyone they played and that's all you can ask them to do. Auburn is reaching for all the advantages they can to make themselves believe. There us a reason that the line just went to 10.5.
Maybe, maybe not. Texas (2009) won every game but 2 by at least 10 points. OSU 2007 team had all but one of their wins by at least 11 (though they did have 1 loss).
OU 2008 had a loss, but won all their games by at least 14 (and the next closest win after the 14 point victory was by 20 points).
Just as examples of teams that blew out nearly everyone they played, only to lose to an SEC team later on.

Congrats on winning your first SEC game last week in almost 2 years. Most likely your only SEC win this year lel
Nobody takes your shite seriously. The worst USC fan on this site.

Malzahn is one of the top coaches in the game, gets more out of his players than just about them all. I'll be surprised if AU doesn't win.
Pump the brakes...good coach but its gonna take more than 1 season to get into the that group of coaches...I think he fares better but Chizik was a top 10 coach after 2010

Point valid , but FSU didn't win every game by at least 14, they only had 1 game as close as 14. Their avg win. Was 38 , they had a halftime lead of at least 14 in all but 2 games. This is not a team like the others where we were questioning if they had the size, speed , or talent to match up. We know they do , in fact they hold the advantage at every position except for Tre Mason. The only reason anyone has for AU Winning is FSU schedule and AU team of destiny. They ain't enough.

I don't even think the NtY and ITAT homers thought he was top 10. And his career HC record was only 3 games over .500 after the BCSCG.
But you're right, Gustav hardly deserves to be called 'one of the top coaches in the game' with his meager resume. What he has demonstrated is that his offenses have been successful enough to produce winning records at every stop in his career (never a season with fewer than 8 wins as an assistant or HC). He has the potential to be a great one, and I'm reasonably confident he'll end up that way - it's my hope that AU persuades him to stick around long enough for it to happen in his current gig.

I was listening to Sirius 91 and they were talking about how FSU looks more like an SEC team than Auburn.
Auburn has gone 7-1 vs SEC teams this year, so I'm not sure why FSU being SEC-like is such a huge deal.

This FSU team is not OSU, Oregon, ND, It is filled with top five SEC recruiting classes , this game is a mis match and anyone not seeing that is just being a homer. I want AU to win, my wife is a grad from there, but be real FSU clearly is the better team.

Georgia without Murray struggled against Nebraska.
Alabama got embarrassed by Oklahoma, so disregard the Alabama win.
Missouri couldn't pull away from Oklahoma State.

It's not a reach at all, they just simply haven't played an offense even close to AU's level of efficiency. FSU's D hasn't given up a rushing TD all year, think about that stat all year they haven't faced a team able to score on the ground. Against a couple top 15 run D's the last 2 games AU has scored 9 TDs (2 against Bama, 7 against Mizzou)
It will be a blowout, I don't care what the line is, a lot of people are gonna lose a lot of money and I might throw up before its over

The way I think about it is that I've watched Georgia play Auburn and Clemson, both on the road. It's not entirely clear to me that Auburn is better than Clemson.

And Auburn may not either. FSU us the most complete and best team they have faced, period. I hope it's close late , because then we may have a shot at a miracle ending. If FSU gets up 10, go ahead and put thus kids to bed, cause it's gonna get ugly. Auburn WILL NOT come back from more than 1 score down. They need to keep it close or pull ahead before 4qtr. I fear though your gonna hear the war chance sll night and the miracle season ends ugly.

Well I think I nailed it in the OP. For the great majority of the game, FSU did not look like the FSU we saw all season. AU had FSU's offense over matched until late in the game when Malzahn's hurry up O wasn't making first downs and kept sending their D out there to get gassed.
Malzahn's second half play calling lost the game, AU should have won and that was fairly obvious throughout the game.

For a great majority of the game Auburn was stealing FSU's play calls. FSU still won the game. I wonder what the margin of victory would have been had Auburn not had an ex-FSU coach on the sidelines ?

Yep, Jimbo said so, so that's what happened. It has nothing to do with him trying to save face for the first half.

Your D played as best as you could hope them to. The kick off return for TD was sorta a fluke, but that's on your kicker for not putting the ball in the back of the end zone.
Malzahn had some terrific calls in the first half, second half not so much.
