It's not about Money - its about the challenge. There is really nothing left for him to prove or achieve at Bama. He may be content spinning his wheels there - maybe not. He's flirted with UT and possibly others. The beautiful thing about it is no one will know until the deal is done - stories of the melt will be passed down generation to generation.
The rumblings have been going on for a while. He may well sit and spin his wheels in the trailer park but its not unthinkable he gets the urge to prove his merit on a larger stage. I agree that Bama is his last college stop.

Are you LSU fans really wanting him? I remember this board when he was hired at Bama. Every LSU fan was having a pretty good laugh about it.

Saban did the grunt work getting him more disciplined path. He's a better candidate today than he was then due to this. With Saban leaving after this year he may want to see what plays out there first.

The entire college football world laughs at your program everyday.

Guy that wrote that piece graduated from UF - of course he's going to spin it in favor of the Vaginas.

Why are Ole Miss fans obsessed with LSU? That is what I find funny. OM plays LSU every year as if it's their version of the NC and LSU finds it hard to even get motivated for the game due to the opponent.

As for a decline - at least LSU has ascended to a point at which a decline is even a possibility. Work on making it to the SECCG :rotflmao:

re: Rod Taylor no longer visiting

IMO Taylor was coming to keep the leash on Speaks. Stay in his ear to deter him from being swayed. Now that we have a new OL coach coming in that supposedly has some pretty good recruiting chops - all of sudden Taylor's not coming. Could it be that that OM is concerned about Grime's possible influence on Taylor?

re: Why Speedy went to A&M

Speedy is gone and that's OK. I would've loved it if he'd chose LSU but he didn't. The good thing abut it is that of all the recruits to lose - losing Speedy hurts the least. LSU/Miles has shown they don't always get the most out a his skill sets. Losing GWIII hurts a lot more.

As for Speedy going to A&M - no sweat. JFF couldn't get it done against LSU and he's an extremely rare talent.

Why can't this bastard get a better job than CB coach at Arkansas State?

No "bag man" positions open right now.

Let's see what happens in Detroit first before we rule Washington out.

Let's just wait for the official announcement period. I don't think anyone has the inside track on this one.

I'll wait for an official announcement. I am tired of thinking I have it all figured out only to find out I'm wrong.

Why did you get fired?

per Adoree Jacksons twitter "Dang , Sat And Talked With My Parents For 3 Hours ! Decisions Decisions '#BusinessMove" The key words is business move, if he was going to ucla or usc i doubt he would say business move because he's already in L.A it looks like he's decided on LSU or Florida.

I saw that but I just don't get that he's decided from it. While I would love for you to be right - I'll believe it when he officially announces. This recruiting cycle has been painful.
Looks like all this Eddie O to Bama talk was a bunch of trollin.
All this speculation regarding where Orgeron will end up and what his intentions are and I've yet to see a link to a legit source on any of it.

I believe the repeat offender window for that has passed.

Well then that settles it - no worries. Proceed as usual.
What is the source of this rumor? With Lane in house already you know he's in Saban's ear about Orgeron so it's not that far fetched. I'd like to know if this comes from a credible source or its just message board wankery.

One thing is for certain - with Kiff and Orgy on staff you have the most corrupt recruiters in the country at a school that has history rife with cheating. Does the NCAA remember Albert Means?

Word is we're replacing Fickell. Chavis is first on the list and we can offer 1.2 million or so..

LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis will be averaging $1.1 million in total compensation over the next three seasons in a new three-year contract, LSU head coach Les Miles has confirmed. The contract has not been finalized, but it is expected to pay Chavis approximately $900,000 this year, $1.1 million in 2013 and $1.3 million in 2014.

Yep, Jimbo said so, so that's what happened. It has nothing to do with him trying to save face for the first half.

Why would the winning coach have a need to "save face"?
