So I'm sure this has been discussed to death here, but I don't care.

Was there seriously no flag here? Can anyone explain this away?

That was probably the most flagrant targeting foul I have seen all year.

Is a PR who fails to call a fair catch considered a defenseless player? As far as I know, he isn't.

I thought it should have been flagged. The only thing is he used his shoulder. Not much consistency to those calls.

I honestly don't know. The rule is so damn subjective that it's ridiculous.

That play certainly looks like the type of play they want to eliminate. So did the hit last week by LSU on Kevin Norwood. Neither were called despite being clearly seen. Then there are examples of light contact being flagged against UGA.

Just a ridiculous situation.

The witness was unable to testify, so charges were dropped.

Definitely a missed call. I'm guessing the ref or refs were out of position because they're usually overly eager to make those calls this year

I was waiting on the flag.

That said, the rule is stupid, and there was a time that was a sportscenter great play.

I didn't see if there was a fair catch called beforehand, so I can't attest to that part of it but it's a clean hit to me. I wouldn't call 75% of the targeting calls a penalty to begin with.

The whole thing is too ambiguous and up to interpretation/POV/opinion of trajectory/intent/timing to be objectively enforced effectively.

Clean hit. Sick of targeting bullshite. People don't even realize they're being indoctrinated.
