If they're offering, you don't think they were paying?

An investigation probably would have been appropriate to find out.

paying for what? they didnt get anything

Problem was Bama boosters paid for the recruit and got it. that is/was the NCAA violation. passing blame onto fulmer is a cop out.

Yeah Fulmers daughter married Robert Peace. An average collegiate career but a fine young man of character. His dad is a well renowned high school coach in Louisiana

Did UT pay a recruit?

The NCAA said it's likely that "money was provided to Martin in violation of NCAA amateurism bylaws." I wonder if Fulmer tried to reach out to Dubose man to man to let him know Bama was caught dead to rights and need to get Young out of the recruiting business?
And if Bama didn't, he was turning Bama in.
I would have more respect for fat phil if he tried that first before snitching.
It sounds like every team was dirty back then...

Pretty sure I acknowledged Bama did wrong and am not passing blame. Just sayin, the person turning them in was shown to be running a dirty program as well, and the SEC head chose not to investigate anyone else. Are you positive Bama was not turned in and being investigated before money changed hands?

Have you ever seen anyone investigated based on accusations?

"Bama" didn't do anything, there was no lack of institutional control cited.

There were some idiot rouge boosters breaking a ton of rules though, which sadly the schools can't control.

The key words are "to each other." Most normal football fans enjoy a feeling of camaraderie when they meet other fans and express it in different ways. Ours happens to be "War Eagle."

Row Tahd may be said to each other, but it's more often used to call attention to themselves that they are in the elite group of choosing to pull for bammer and how sad the other personn is to have their own favorite team.

I know for a FACT Diane Sanford was a UT booster. I coached her stepson when he played Babe Ruth they were huge UT fans.

I remember when fights would almost break out at bars and people would play peacemaker by saying "Roll Tide?" to each sides and it'd dissolve.

I just pictured this in my head laughed out loud for real at the stupidity of it.

Thank you sir.

Fulmer, who hates Alabama with his very (fluffy) core, ended up doing us the biggest favor he could do. We would never have been able to dislodge the corrupt power brokers and hire Saban without the devastation of the NCAA penalties. It sucked like hell to go through that, but we are better for it.

As mentioned earlier and well documented, we weren't the only school in the SEC to bid on Means, nor were we the only ones to pay Lang (other programs paid to get him on campus as well). At the time, it was infuriating to see only Alabama pay the price. But we're better for it, and you can't say that about everyone in the conference.

Actually counting Fat Phils grad assistance coaching years and his 1980 to 1992 assistant coaching day Doughnut Boy is 14-17-1 as a coach vs. Bama.

How is it different than any other chant a team does? Is it different than the Saints saying "Who Dat?" or Auburn saying "War Eagle"?
There's no difference, it's just that you don't like the chant cause we rapin' eerbody nowadays.

Because I don't yell "GO BIG ORANGE" everytime I see someone else wearing another teams colors. You see, this is the difference.
