re: NCAA to consider recruiting, meal changes. Tenn. tacos and Bama skittles FTW

I have no problem with schools feeding the players more around the clock. Oddly enough at the time Arian Foster was here. I wonder how many of those tacos did he drop on way to his mouth? He sure did drop the ball when he got close to the goalline enough.

Yeah Fulmers daughter married Robert Peace. An average collegiate career but a fine young man of character. His dad is a well renowned high school coach in Louisiana

I see the asterisk coming. You cant win. If in a few years Saban retires before Butch has us rolling then the but, but, but Butch had a losing record against Saban. You can only compare records against time they are employed. And make no mistake about it. From 90s to early 2000s no one liked seeing Fulmer on the opposing sidelines because it meant loss for your team 75% of the time.

As a Vol fan I see it that way. Odd thing about Updyke is that he is older. Most older Bammers can handle success and defeat with class. The younger ones do dumb stuff like the teabagging the LSU fan. Like him or not attacking Fulmer is one thing. It kind of comes as expected with the huge salaries. But Fulmers daughter should be left alone period.

Voltime Homer of the year imo. Georgia will represent the east. Year 3 of Butchamania is when we enter conversation.

The world would end so game over!

Opponents never want to see that.
re: Did I just see Derek Dooley on the cowboy xsidelinr

Probably not. One of the quotes he had when Fulmer was fired was " One of my goals is to never be fired". The Ol Ball Coach would just say Dubose got fired eh".

Check wins and bowl appearances as well as championships. Alot goes in the formula. Remember in 07 under old format it probably would have been Georgia playing for a National Champiinship instead of you guys. Winning sometimes comes with a little luck on your side.

Saying Vandysessed is not accurate. Butch is trying to let these players recognize we as Tennessee are part of the BIG 6. If you cant play you belong at Vandy. I like the move personally. Now as for Jed's interesting ideas saying second best rivalry. Well that's just.........Not smart!
re: Bison's official UT/Oregon thread

We as Tennessee fans know we are huge underdogs. I will say I am interested to see how both teams handle the HUNH seeing as both offenses have done it to others how will they respond when done to themselves. If both offenses were as electric as Oregons the possession count would be so high and both defenses so gassed this could be a basketball score. Unfortunately for TN we are in rebuild mode so could get nasty for us in 4th.

You wanna talk about long struggles. See what happened between Billy Cannon at LSU & Sabans arrival. You will find many didnt think of LSU as a rival either.

Fast & Furious. When Vin Diesel looks at Paul Walker while racing the Challenger and grins as if oh yeah its money time then car is shredded from unforseen truck. JFF is Vin Diesel and Bamas defense is that truck. Kyle Field & CBS are the rest of us watching this car crash escalate before our eyes.

That has come up a time or hundred and two thousand.
re: Who Will Alabama Hire After Saban Leaves (for Texas or USCw)?
Posted by VolunteerimusPrime on 9/8/13 at 9:08 am
Yeah Texas has unlimited resources but they wont use all of them. I believe the $10 million a year coach will be here eventually but even if it was now. Bama boosters would find that kind of money to keep the most valuable asset around and see his job to the rocking chair.

Saban isnt going to Texas. Alabama would match any amount the Horns put out. What would be more odd to me is if Bob Stoops was offered to go to Texas I think Oklahoma would let him go. That being said Texas is probably glad Muschamp is no longer their coach in waiting. One to watch for Texas opening is Hugh Freese (sp). His recruiting prowess and seems like good schematics. Ole Miss definitely couldn't match a Texas offer.

I must say I liked Kiffin and hated Dooley but the way it turns out much like yalls coaching path to Saban. Ours has been a tough road but apparently the right one to Butch. Thanks for the respect fellow SECer.
re: Tennessee at Missouri to decide SEC East

Oh boy folks getting carried away. S.Carolina & Georgia are better teams than either of our teams. Now I will say Florida has shown Mizzou & Tennessee are comparable but UT in swamp is still the deciding factor for me. We haven't proven we can win down there. Now Ill take CBJ over CWM.
