Yea I know. But you said Alabama-UGA should be scheduled for 2014 AND 2015 and that doesn't happen anymore.

Too many pussy arse coaches out there worried about their jobs.
Does beating 4 teams like Georgia State, Fordham, Sam Houston State, and Western Carolina really save your job over playing one more game against a team like a Florida or a Missouri?

I agree with you, but Damn you mad.
yea, i'm mad. i am really just frustrated that this can't get worked out. these yo-yo's make a damn good salary and they have computers and programers out the yazoo that can work out a schedule that is not provisional. it's insane and i'm tired of reading all the whining about it (mostly LSU fans i admit) and i'm tired of other fans sitting around an acting like it's a good situation. it is not good for the SEC to keep having 1 yr or now 2 yr provisional schedules. i'm beginning to think expansion was a bad idea.

Says the little big man who doesn't face an OOC rival home and home each year in addition to offsite rivalry. Bama would crap their pants if they dared to have less than 7 home games a year.
I too think it would be far better all the way around to go to 9 games, but there are very real financial reasons UGA and UF at least oppose it. It could very well lead to 5 home games in some years or the cessation of two things that make CFB as wonderful as it is- games that are events and bitter rivalries. I have enjoyed the Cocktail Party for what it is, but if it came down to it, I would be able to live with a H and H series there rather than stop the UGA GaTech rivalry.
It saddened me when Texas and Texas AM refused to continue their rivalry.

I figured if they were setting a rotation then it would. Although I guess they could distance the return games by a couple years (which would be bullshite)

they are pussies when they let 4 teams out of 14 rule the fricking schedule. frick rivalries.
Why do LSU fans continue to think it is just 4 teams that want to keep the permanent cross-divisional games? Last I saw, the vote was 11 to 3 in favor of keeping them (only LSU, USCe, & aTm voted to do away with them). So you really mean that you believe that 3 teams should rule the schedule instead of the majority.

Florida and UGA are perfect for a nine game schedule. Both would always have four home and four away SEc games, plus the WLOCP game. Everybody else would have unbalanced schedules.
And I wouldn't put Georgia Tech in the upper echelon of rivalry teams. Not bad, but not on FSU or typically Clemson levels.

I think it's inevitable that the SEC will go to nine games. I'd guess that Florida and Georgia eventually take their series on campus for the financial reasons you talked about. I don't know if yall would like it, but I'd hate to see the neutral site go.

i have never seen this. i would need some proof to believe it. and you know damn well why LSU fans are not happy with playing 2 of the top cross divisional teams while bama plays none. if you can't understand that you are a fool. i think you do understand it, you just like that it gives bama a huge advantage, fair or not. i'm sure you were pretty happy to get to drop georgia this year and pick up kentucky. but it is much bigger than that; if unfair schedulign continues to rule the day it is bad for the SEC. you are going to have some teams and fans that get legitimately and permanently pissed off. i guarantee you there are other conferences that would love to come and pick off a team or two. if you don't think that could happen you are not thhinking long term. just because the SEC is on top right now doesn't mean it will stay that way. i think we need to either go to a 9 team schedule, which i prefer, or simply eliminate permanent cross rivals and go pure rotation; a rotation that IS THE SAME FOR ALL.

It ain't about how good or bad the other team is. It is about how much you hate them.

I guess I misread the article. I took this as the rotation will continue unless we go to a 9 game schedule which is what everyone wants anyway. I don't see a reason to be angry especially if we go nine games because all of the rivalries will stay intact and we get to play all of the east teams in a four year period.

how about this for a breath of fresh air from an LSU fan. i fail to fricking see why scheduling is so fricking hard for the fricking idiots in the SEC offices. it ain't fricking rocket science. it's like THEY KNEW we were going to 14 teams and have to have a fricking provisional schedule for two years and they still only come out with a fricking 2 year provisional schedule
One of two things happened, or both...
1. They were expecting to expand to 16, but other conferences balked, so they decided to wait and see.
2. Been too busy celebrating Bama NC's and not enough time to do actual work.

It was the vote in 2012 (they never released the vote from this past year, but most agree it was the same).

If yall didn't beat UF with our crappy offense in College Station last year, yall sure as hell aren't beating UF in Gainesville, with or without JFF.
