ATL is OK if you don't have to change to a different airline.
Albuquerque last month was super. The security guy likes my Calcutta T-shirt (with pirate skull on the back) and walked my carry-on through without my having to pull my laptop and camera out for him.
I'm going to California next month. Flying into John Wayne Airport for a week in Newport Beach. How is that airport?

I've only been through Reagan once but I thought it was pretty nice inside.

Sheremetyevo, at least in the old USSR days. Nothing like getting your luggage looted and catching some wall-to-wall counseling from the local security forces, all while being there as part of a *student exchange*. Also, the combat landings as practiced by the Aeroflot pilots (who had been airlifting troops out of Afghanistan immediately beforehand) were kind of fun, too. Generally speaking, civilian airliners are not meant to dive quite that steeply.

You've got to be kidding me. That airport is the absolute worst. Horrible design, horrible logistics, horrible customer service of course because the French are assholes. Everyone else with whom I've spoken has said the same. You're the first person I've ever heard say anything positive about that shitehole.

A lot better than lax, imo

I think DFW is excellent. The train between concourses is the best. From the jetway to the sidewalk is very efficient. My only complaint is over crowded and not enough electricity. For every outlet there are 10 people with cell phones and laptops waiting for an open plug but I see that everywhere

This is why (when traveling for business), I vote DFW. Most of places have upgraded lobby seating to have outlets at the end of each row. (even Jacksonville has it). There's too much traffic in and out of that place to not to do the same.

I agree with that, but I haven't had the need to charge there. Tulsa's airport is great and has outlets everywhere

I agree. Miami gets my vote for worst US airport.

That's brutal, luckily nobody died, those were some small kids and it could've been a lot worse. They automatically move up the list of worst with that.

DFW is my favorite....they have like 30 security lines and baggage claim. You dont ever need to take skylink, unless your changing terminals.
Tampa is the worst....hands down. Its still living in the 70s and 80s

Memphis is pretty depressing

Seconded. Their concourses suck and baggage claim was confusing as all hell. When my sister picked me up from there, it took us an hour to find each other because I had never been to an airport where the baggage claim was a gate number. She told me she would pick me up at C24 and I had no idea what the frick she was talking about.
Pittsburgh's parking lot blows. Norfolk is a pain in the arse and is in the middle of the ghetto. I never had any problems in Cincinnati though unlike some of you. I guess we all have different traveling experiences.

DFW sux arse...for 3 reasons...it's hard as hell to get there driving...the terminal sux...and most of all...American Airlines is the a-hole of all airlines.

Overseas?...Athens, Greece. Don't know if they've made any improvements since 1994, but it absolutely sucked back then. And, everyone there looked like a terrorist.

In terms of dependability..CDG. Friggin French unions randomly deciding to just stop working in the middle of the day. Plus the place is just damn confusing.
For the US, Newark...hands down.
CDG is totally fricked...it is spread out over about 200 square miles it seems like and you can count on missing any connections because of the distances between gates.
Frankfurt Germany is one of my least favorites but only because I use it pretty regularly and it is usually after a trip to the states which means that I am already about ready to shoot a bunch of folks.
Domestically Memphis and New Orleans are both pretty bad.
I don't know why people hate on ATL...I have flown all over the world and I don't know of a better, more efficient airport anywhere (Schipol in Amsterdam maybe) especially when you factor in the traffic that flows through Atlanta. I hate all Airports but Atlanta is one of the least hated ones in my book.
