I still remember Duval's game winning kick in '01. From my vantage point in the corner of the endzone the kick started right at me and I could see how far out of the goal post he started the ball, didn't even look close after it first left his foot. I turned around and said "shite!" and never saw the ball go through the uprights

1993 was the loudest I've ever heard Jordan-Hare.
I really miss playing Florida every year.

It was always a great rivalry and the best game atmosphere imo.

It was a great game, one I would like to see regularly again (I would actually like Alabama and Auburn to both move East- adding two teams from the west). But 4th best? I disagree- if we're going historical, I think these have to be ranked above Auburn-Florida
1. Alabama-Auburn
2. Auburn-Georgia
2. Alabama-Tennessee
4. Florida-Georgia
5. LSU-Ole Miss
6. Ole Miss-Mississippi State
(I actually think Auburn-Florida State should be a big rivalry, if they ever happen to join the SEC, which is unlikely. IIRC, they're the third-closest BCS school to Auburn, behind Alabama and Georgia)

I've always liked the AU series, even though our permanent division game is with LSU (which I love as well).

i think 2006 when we blocked the punt to start the 2nd half is the loudest i've ever heard it.

At least the loudest in the 2000's....the damn stadium was vibrating after that play.

I was just about to post this I was sitting right where you were and actually started cheering because it looked like that kick was going five yards right. I've never seen a kick hook that much

I was standing on the ramp in the southwest corner... it felt like I was on top of the play looking down.. definitely one of the coolest experiences I had as a student.

The 2007 game was magical for me....nobody gave us any chance at beating Tebow in the swamp after losing to USF (wtf!!!) and the grinders. Being in the stadium when the 2nd field goal went through was just incredible.

Thats awesomes. I was at AU watching it on TV at my apartment with some buddies. The minute the second FG went thru you can hear everyone on the streets and other apartments cheering loud.

Part of the fun of that trip was driving down I-10 on the way there and having bama fans on the way to play FSU in Jacksonville holding up Auburn Sucks signs.....not so much on Sunday on the way home.

Screw Auburn. Cheaters.
No Auburn related thread is complete without the above.

It is sad that this game is no longer played on a regular basis, it was a great rivalry for many many years. Auburn is the closest SEC school to Gainesville and now we may see them once a decade.
FL was also the very first SEC school to agree to play at Jordan Hare on AU's campus. Course it was Cliff Hare at the time, but UF was the first SEC team to play us on campus.

I put AU/UF over 4-6, but that is certainly debateable and is just my opinion.
I loved the AU/FSU rivalry in the 80's. Still have my ticket stub from the 1990 AU/FSU game. Top 5 all time favorite AU game for me.

Forgot about that one, would be interesting to see both matchup again

I was at Auburn in the mid-80's when UF was always on the sked. I hate we don't play every year. Auburn really should be in the East division. I'd give up LSU in a heartbeat to play Tennessee and Florida every year.

Historically, I'd rank UF's rivals, in terms of most heated rivalries:
1. Georgia
2. Florida State
3. Auburn
4. Miami (some might flip Auburn and Miami, but I wasn't alive to see most of the old UF-Miami games)
5. Tennessee
Obviously, if we were ranking right now, LSU and Alabama would be up there.
