Let's say there's a world-war type conflict between the SEC fan bases. Who would be on what side? Who would be neutral? Who would start it all? Yes, this IS the offseason, how observant of you. And no, it can't be everyone vs. Missouri.

Alabama on one side, everyone else on the other side.

REC uses their unlimited funds to build a Death Star. Saban blows up everyone else. We claim every NC from now until eternity.

Arkansas would start it, get nuked, and then brag about how well their tanks performed at the start.

AU would be the Lannisters. UA would be the Starks. Chizik = Joffery, Saban = Ned.

The war would be set off by Alabama invading Mississippi St with no resistance in order to enlarge their empire. That would anger Ole Miss for Bama taking "their" State. And then it would take off as things would only escalate from there as the rest of us picked sides. Vanderbilt and Arkansas would obviously rage a furious batlle upon the waters of the Mississippi.

It probably starts with AU winning the 2013 national championship and another Heisman from a transfer which pisses off Bama fans.

Obviously everybody that hates Bama would join AU's side. That would be LSU, UT. Since those teams are on AU's side, i guess UF and Tex AM would be on Bama's side. Then you go to the teams that hate Auburn which would be MSU, Arkansas. Which would also put Missouri and Ole Miss on AU's side. I think UGA would be on AU's side which would put USC on Bama's side.

So we have:

Auburn:
LSU
UT
UGA
Ole Miss
Missouri
Vs
Bama
MSU
USC
UF
Tex AM
Arkansas

Vandy, UK are neutral since this is a football war.

I don't know how this would shake out but I'm sure LSU will complain if Florida is on the other side.

Most likely....
Auburn
LSU
Florida
State
Tennessee
USCe

vs.

Alabama
Arky
aTm
Georgia
Kentucky
Ole Miss

I'd say that Mizzou and Vandy stay at home and watch. Vandy out of self preservation, Mizzou out of fear. They try to stay neutral, but are under the threat of being provoked by Arky(Mizzou) and Tennessee(Vanderbilt).

I would say it would be

LSU
Boogs
Arky
Tenner
Cocks
Grinders
vs.
Gumps
Dawgs
Black Bears
Faggies
Mizzy

Florida is Russia in this situation.

Vandy and UK stay neutral.

BAMA, Ole miss and Georgia would join forces and frick. shite. Up. LSU might as well be France so you'd know they would bitch and surrender. The 2 x-factors would be Florida and Tennessee. Long story short, We'd isolate Florida, take them captive, brainwash them and arm them to overthrow Tennessee.

The center of the newly reformed SEC empire would remain in Tuscaloosa as it always had.

I'm thinking Tennessee would get bombed in every aspect of the war, but still find things to celebrate, such as best doctors or nicest paint job on planes, pre-war.

Kudos for an original offseason thread

Best response imo
quote:

Auburn would be an interesting wild card, and really sets the alliances into motion.

Their information ministry would put Iraq's to shame.

LSU has no rivals. We'd sit back, drink, watch and laugh while the rest of you beat the frick out of each other.

No, you guys would fight with each other after you started the war. Miles would devise a plan to kill everyone associated with LSU in a crossfire when he really just meant to call time out.

I don't know how this would shake out but I'm sure LSU will complain if Florida is on the other side.

If Alabama's side loses we can just ask if we can come back to life and fight again.

Still begging for mulligans

There are several other outstanding post which lead me to think that in addition to posting on message boards in your moms basement, you guys are also still playing Battleship

i like the idea brought up about the start of the war coming from an alliance between LSU, and AU causing bama, allied with ole miss, to launch a coordinated preemptive strike on MSU. the next logical plan of attack would be LSU. the ole miss/bama alliance would then reach out to a&m who would join and the alliance opens up two fronts against an isolated LSU. the obvious strategy to this is based on a quick wipeout of MSU and then a&m to take most of the burden of LSU with bama and ole miss playing more of a US eastern european threatre roll (letting the USSR (a&m) do most of the heavy fighting with germany (LSU) while doing enough to alleviate some pressure on an opposite front)

if all goes to plan an LSU weakend by fighting with a&m for a while capitulates when ole miss and bama come rolling through. once again, all of this is centered this 3 way alliance to wipe out MSU and LSU quickly enough so the formed alliance of AU, UGA, and UT cant overrun bama and ole miss.

if ole miss/bama/a&m succeed quickly. they then eliminated one of the eastern alliances major players and then can easily invade the others with the help of a newly allied UF, if the UGA/UT/AU/LSU alliance can last the initial premptive strike and take control of bama, they should be able to kick ole misses and a&ms arse with the help of a newly allied UF

there are 7 major players in this fight. one side has a&m, ole miss, and bama. the other has LSU/UT/AU/LSU. arky/mizzou/uk/miss state either join one of the sides or fight one another but dont play much of a role in the grand scheme of things. uf is neutral until they see which side is the weakest and then joins in on the stronger side for the knock out blow
