Now it is the time of year where both climb. Which one makes you more miserable?

I say the pure heat is what gets to me the most.

Humidity can turn 85 degrees into pure heat.. Plus it lingers at night.

I sway the other way.

Neither makes me miserable. I love the heat.

ETA: In South Alabama it's ALWAYS super-humid and very hot. So there's no real distinction between the two.

If it's pure heat, I don't start really sweating until it gets into the 90s. Humidity makes me sweat like crazy in the high 70s

The humidity is what gets me. Summers in Memphis have both, but I'll take it any day over cold weather. Cold weather to me starts around 45-50.

Absolute no brainer.

Humidity.

Was 80 today, and was uncomfortable working outside. Has been 88-90 with no humidity with a breeze and has been pleasant.

A big factor for me is there is usually no good breeze when it's humid.

As much as I hate humidity while working.. I do like it a lot at night.

Humidity by a lot. It gets HOT here during the summer, but when I wind up back in the south it's like I can't breathe.

Having said that, I would still rather it be hot and humid than cold.

Humidity, no contest.

I can stay outside in 100+ degree temp. all day if humidity is low & be fine, but cannot deal with suffocating, high humidity. I'll never get used to BR summers, which last half the damn year.

Humidity is much worse. When I lived in Las Vegas, I would sometimes go back home and I wouldn't be able to breathe leaving the airport.

Somewhere like Kuwait in August is fricking brutal. Hot as frick with humidity. I saw a thermometer over 140 degrees one time. Absolutely ridiculous.

it's a combination. humidity in the south is always around, summer and winter. so mix in that heat and it becomes nearly intolerable. July and August are pretty rough.
but I still wouldn't exchange it for cold January and February and March when you feel like your fingers will freeze and break off your hands.
