A 2002 graduate of the university named Giancarlo Guida made sure of that with his epic new back tattoo.
In a inking that took more than 12 hours over two sessions to complete, Guida’s back now displays one of the oaks in its final bloom, draped in toilet paper. (It’s a very cool effect courtesy of Matt Strauser of Atlanta’s Rubicon Tattoo.) At the base of the oak tree is a rugby ball, symbolizing the four years that Guida spent on AU’s rugby team.
In addition, the tattoo also features a rendering of Samford Hall and the statue of an eagle that once stood outside of Auburn’s old basketball arena, Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.
“I thought that was a great way to capture the trees after that a**hole killed them,” Guida told The War Eagle Reader in reference to Harvey Updyke, who recently plead guilty to the trees’ poisoning.

He should add Harvey just to the right of the tree.

I was just thinking that.
If it were on canvas and not skin, I imagine some Aubbies would have that hanging in their house or office.
(Though if Dr Lector were and Aubbie, he'd want it hanging on his wall as is.)

Yeah, I like the artwork, it's kind of interesting.

Actually that's nice artwork, but it would have been better if the tree looked more like one of the real trees. Glad to see one of yalls fanatics come out.

I thought the tree could use some more leaves. it looks a little dead which i am guessing isn't the point of this. BUt not the worst tattoo i have ever seen.

In addition to the Auburn mural, Guida has a tattoo in the outline of Italy on his buttocks that “most all of campus saw during 1998,” an Atari joystick in an undisclosed location, a ritualistic Maori hand-tapped rugby tattoo on his calf “that hurt like hell,” the Sicilian trinacria (three-legged image on the flag) on his upper back and a family mural around his left arm.

Anyone know what the lady with 3 legs on upper middle back means? Or is it just a random design?

Auburn little brother syndrome is so bad, they are trying to beat bama in turrible tattoos?
