Have you forgotten about arguably the best secondary in the country? What's going to happen is the LSU will put pressure with the tackles straight up the gut. They'll have Minter spying the middle and Mingo and Montgomery waiting on the ends, Johnny will have nowhere to go. The coverage by LSUs secondary is second to none. Just ask our resident USCe fan.
I've got mad respect for your defense. I'm just arguing that JFF's and our offense's 2nd half performance against Florida is not a guarantee of how the offense will perform tomorrow.
The offense has improved dramatically since its first game. Especially Johnny.

sorry for being so obtuse. he now has more command of the offense because he ran the gauntlet of Arky, Ole Miss and LaTech.

Not right now, but they will be soon. Give them three seasons.

This is what I was hoping for us in our game.

Yeah, LSU's defense is leaps and bounds better than anything the Ags have faced this year. JFF better prepare the anus. (Also, I really hope this happens so the JFF threads will stop flooding this board.)

You're right. He hasn't made any improvement at all in understanding the offense he's running by playing an additional five games in that offense, an additional five weeks of learning the system, and additional five weeks of blowing those mediocre defenses ou of the stadium.
He hasn't progressed a lick.
And nobody around the country has taken notice.
Or Everybody has. One of those two, I'm sure.

JFF had one bad half out of 12. Keep hoping that one is the norm instead of the 11 others.
I'm not a "rantard" or some blissfully optimistic LSU fan who just strolls around whistling our alma mater and predicting some breakout blowout game tomorrow to whoever will listen. I know this team has issues it needs to fix and fix quickly if we are going to accomplish any of the preseason goals this year. Your quarterback has a ton of talent, and appears to have a very promising career in the SEC ahead of him. Despite the early kickoff, I know Kyle Field will still be rocking for a game like this. However, y'alls impressive QB play thus far is going to get setback a bit tomorrow. He's going to remember this game and it will help him develop as a player. Just draw on the positives bc it's going to get ugly early and often tomorrow for Johnny Football.

I'm not saying Johnny isn't damn fine QB, better at this point than what LSU has. But, it's A&Ms lack of defense that is going to loose them this game. Running the ball, time of possession, and physically man handling A&Ms defense is what's going to loose this game for them. Johnny can't do anything from the sideline, maybe not even on the field, we shall see.

Our lack of defense didn't cost us the Florida game.
I don't know how much better LSU is offensively than Florida, or if they're better at all. Statistically it's about a 17 yard difference in ypg.
There's no question we have depth concerns, however. And LSU runs damn well.
I don't know what's gonna happen. I'm just excited as hell.

Exactly. It's the running game aggies!
If you can stop it, your chances of winning go way up. If you cannot you lose.
Better hope you can. Your QB will not matter much if you can't.

LSU and Alabama are going to handle them, MSU will give them a great game.

I'm not convinced that A&M can hang with Bama/LSU/USCe/UGA/ and obviously not Florida.
don't forget msu. the aggies can't hang with them either.

You Tigahs hoping for Tannehill are about to get Johnny Football'd

Keep tellin yerself - we suck. You ARE LSU
Posted on 10/19/12 at 8:54 pm to ibleedprplngld
Yes. They can compete and will step up and go toe to toe with LSU. It means way more to them than the Tigers.

Gators - 20 Naggies - 17
Gators - 14 LSU - 6
Seems to me that the Naggies gave the Gators a better game than LSU did, and LSU had 3 more weeks to see what the Gators could do.

So you played both....A&M on the road...LSU at home... Who you got?

Most likely.
But long term, we are gonna be players. You can take that to the bank.
