If Mullen was LSUs coach, and I had to drive in front of billboards everyday saying "this is our state" or "hail LSU" while putting up 8-4 records and winning 0 games of importance each season, then I would not like our coach.

None really. Chizik has at least won a real championship. The other two have not proven anything other than they can beat Ole Miss.

1) Chizik-Has a heisman winner and a national championship
2) Franklin-Winning 6 games with a team that won 2 games the year before is really impressive
3) Mullen-hasn't done anything as impressive as the first two.

You want Merlins over a guy whose recruiting classes have been top 10 for last 3 years, won an NC and an SECC and 3 bowl games? A guy who was DC on one undefeated sec team in 2004 and DC on Another 2005 NC team? A broyles award winner as well?

Mullen.
Mullen is very very underrated. He will do great once he gets out of Starkville. Miss St. is one of the hardest places to win in the SEC.

I've actually become a fan of Franklin. I like his attitude.
Don't have anything against Chizik. He and Auburn are a good fit but not sure he would fit at State.
If I had a choice, I'd stick with Mullen. I never expected State to become world beaters, so being competitive and at least going to a bowl every year is good with me.
