As an Alabama fan I understand this, but I'm still not happy because we should have won that game. Don't give me this back-patting participation medal BS. I know we have a long way to go, and I know we would have lost to UNC, but we should not have lost THIS game.
I hope the momentum keeps going with the Alabama fan base. I have a feeling it might not, but I really hope the support continues. But the first step to Alabama fans taking this sport more seriously is being pissed as hell when we lose games that we should have won, no matter the setting.

Especially when you are shooting with better accuracy from the 3 range than you have all year. I don't know how to explain it other than very poor shot selection and not enough attempts. We pass the ball around forever, wait for the worst available shot, and take that one.
Oh well, that top 5 recruiting class will be sophomores next year, Our quality PG will be a 3 year starter, and there is potential that Mitchell could return although I hope he does not.

I was listening on radio, but :
(a) why would the Creighton guy leave his feet to defend a 3 pt shot?
(b) why did Alabama call timeout with :02 ?
(c) why down 2 did Alabama try a 3 ? Three point shooting is one their biggest weaknesses?

This is just absurd. Given that we've won 2 of the last 3 national championships in football, I would have been satisfied to take a 10 win season next year in exchange for a Final 4 appearance this year.

Personally, I think we have to improve on the mental game more than anything. I think this year has been very beneficial to the younger guys on our team and I think it'll show next year.
With Green gone we will lose his dumb mistakes but we definitely need to pick up a post player. I think Grant has done his best to get talent on this team. Gueye was one of the top Juco players in the country and he didn't have much time when he got Engstrom to commit. If I'm not mistaking. Grant is a good coach and I think he'll get us to where we need to be. I felt like we played very well today, just some inexperience mixed with Grant trying to do too much and bad luck.

I don't know. I think we could have found a man on the inside if play had continued. The timeout probably forced us into a deep shot because Creighton knew we were gonna try to go to Green.

I think Releford was trying to draw the foul. They were trying to get it to Green I believe, and I do think we would have had a better shot if we had just chunked it his way. Maybe Releford wasn't in a position to pass it, I can't really remember.
Also, dealing with something else in this thread, I make no apologies for caring about 'Bama sports other than football. I've probably followed both 'Bama baseball and basketball for longer than most people here have followed their respective football teams.

It's not retarded at all. I'm saying that I can live with "just" a 10 win season for one year (next season) if it meant accomplishing something we never have in basketball (Final 4). If we hadn't won 2 of the last 3 national titles in football then I wouldn't feel that way. A lot of Alabama fans actually care a lot about basketball too.
