The insanity never stops. If football isn't a prominent topic 365 days a year, you don't have the right culture. When the regular season ends, it's bowl season, and when the bowl season ends, it's recruiting hysteria. Recruiting hysteria goes to a new level on NSD, and we actually mock each other and get excited about which unproven 18 year old kids decided to play for our school. When NSD is done, it's time to debate team issues ahead of spring ball, then it's time to over-analyze every absurd piece of trivia that comes out of spring practice and break down the spring game (don't forget to mock your rivals about who had the worst attendance for their spring game. Mizzou is without a doubt going to get reamed for this). After agonizing over how your departing players did in the NFL Draft, the Fulmer Cup arrives and we take turns agonizing and making fun of our players and other people's players who run afoul of the law. Then it's Media Days, and then it's the regular season. Repeat ad nauseam for the rest of your life. Love every second of it.
Welcome to the SEC.
Awesome. Truer words have never been spoken.
Mind if I borrow it to pass around to my non-SEC friends? They just don't get it either.

Recent example: I took vacation last Friday to get everything ready for the LSU-Bama game. And I stayed in Baton Rouge (i.e. did not make the trip to bama).

What you will learn is that your team is soft. By the end of the first year your team will be burger. Your players will look up at your coach with big puppy dog eyes and say, "Why did you do this to us?". But we will not stop punching you in the head. Years from now you will finally toughen up... And then you will have really joined the SEC.
Unfortunately, what we didn't tell Missouri when they joined was that Vanderbilt's been going through this process since 1933.
Tough break.

WAIT...........Georgia has a Men's Basketball Team? Since when? Are you sure?
I thought they only had a football team (once every every 5 years) and a Women's gymnastics team.
Damn, learn something new every day in the SEC.
Don't count on a big crowd showing up.

Enjoy your one game win streak, 18 0f 22 is still acceptable for most Gator fans. Good luck the rest of the season, can't wait to see UGA play LSU in the SECCG, should be a historic beatdown.
Next year we kick that arse again.
Go Gators!

I've even been out to the college bars in Tuscaloosa, Auburn and Opelika and they are complete dives and shitholes.
One of the worst sample sizes in the SEC. Until you come to Athens don't act like you know shite

You want SEC Culture?
Here is SEC Culture.
Mizzou has been in this conference for about 48 hours and I've already been fishing for hotels and friends that want to make the trip out to Boone Co. Do I know what year AU will play? Nope. Do I care? Nope.
To me, it makes perfect sense to drive/fly halfway across the country to a state Iv'e never been because my team will be there.

Our downtown is legend. There's a reason why Athens is universally onsidered one of th ebest trips on the SEC schedule. I haven't seen any PICS of these mizzou womenz either. Until I have evidence that they're Florida-Georgia-Ole Miss level, IDGAF what these noobs think they know

I'd rather go to Bobby Dodd. At least it's here in Atlanta.

100 fricking percent. Your work/school week in the fall should be solely propelled by the excitement of being able to witness your team play on Saturday. And the very moment work/school has no immediate obligations, you bolt for that college town, away venue, place where you'll watch the game and you begin the party. There is no alternate plan.
