I'm thinking a record comparable to this year, with a better defense but weaker offense. Alot like LSU this season.

11-1. Next year will be Saban's swan song, his last great year at Alabama.

Sure I do, I question your qb when it's the game on the line. UGA would've beat UF if it weren't for a young qb. Murray won't make that throw next year. And your secondary is still young.

Somewhat, but it was still part of a defense that finished 5th in scoring defense on the season.

Way too early but I'll go with 10 regular season wins right now which I think is a fairly safe pick. But are we going to have a Robbie Green situation? Is somebody unexpected going to go pro (i.e. maybe Maze?) It would be fantastic to say the least if Julio came back. From what I've always heard he's a bit of a different kid so I guess its possible but I'll believe it when I see it, the safe bet is that he's gone.

It obviously depends on the QB. But we should have the defense to win games regardless. The defense could be great and certainly should be better. This defense was in no way great, the fact that we were number 1 in the conference is just a reflection of the fact that there were no great defenses.

most of this next year will hang on our QB position and how well our new guy handles it all.

I agree with this. McCarron/Sims doesn't have to be great next year but if they take care of the ball (especially in the big games) Bama should win atleast 10 games.

This is a fair point and I always question a new starting QB, although the past two SEC champions and probably BCS champions will have had two first year starters for what it's worth. I imagine Alabama's strategy will be similar to what it was in 2009, where a dominant defense took pressure off the offense, and the offense was fairly risk averse. Actually, Bama seemed to try that this year (this is Saban's MO frankly) but the defense wasn't quite up to the challenge to close out lower scoring games like the 2009 version was.

I don't think I agree here. The entire secondary will return and I expect it to be possibly the best in the SEC. Plus last year's starter at safety (Robby Green) who could not play this year will also be back next year for very nice depth.

Just like with McElroy, Saban will depend on the running game with a first year starter.

Well he better find some better damn pass rushers then.

Definitely agree with this. Alabama is long overdue for a true difference maker in terms of someone who can flat out sack the QB.

Bama will be in the hunt just about every year with the talent we have accrued. The D will be ridiculous and the offense will be good enough.

It should be a 3 way battle between Bama, LSU and Arkansas for the West and Bama plays both of those teams in Bryant Denny. We should be favored in every game.
