Note to stud high school WRs and QBs: Stop wasting your talent and risking your career by signing with schools like LSU and Alabama.

You will not be taught proper fundamentals at LSU and Alabama. They will not prepare you for NFL offensive schemes. Their coaches do not have the skill to develop QBs and WRs like the coaches at Arkansas.

Petrino (as QB coach and OC) coached up Mark Brunell in the NFL and sent him to 3 straight pro bowls. Arkansas has multiple WRs in the SEC charts.

Arkansas is where you go when you can't get into an elite SEC school

I think we would need more than one QB and one crop of WR's to get drafted before we say we're the best school to come to for those things. I think if Petrino can get Wilson in to the NFL and the guys like Hamilton, Ray, Humphrey, Horton and Funderburke in to the league then we can have a definite arguement.

OP, love where you're coming from, but I dunno dude. I think Julio will do ok and there's a couple of LSU WR's who are get a shot at the $$. But, yes our WR's have better technique and are generally better route runners.

FALSE. Richt is the best QB coach in the country and it might not be close. While QB coach at FSU he coached 2 Heisman Trophy winners. He then came to UGA and coached an unheralded 3* recruit to the most wins by a QB ever in college football history. Followed that up by taking a first year starter and led him to the SEC championship. Followed that up by having the overall #1 pick in the NFL draft, and has now taken a freshman and has led him to one of the best statistical seasons in UGA history.

People may give Richt guff for a lot of things, but if there is ONE area where the man is unparalleled it's QB coaching.

Once Arky sinks back into mediocrity next year do you really think Petrino will stay around long enough to coach all of this elite talent you have coming in? Dude is a quitter.

Besides, ya'll can't even keep what little talent you have in that state to play for the Hawgs...just ask Keihl Frazier and Michael Dyer.

You are making your Arky fans look bad with posts like this just because you beat us to get to your FIRST BCS game. Win a couple of BCSNC's and put a couple of QB/WR's in the league and then start talking.

I guess that's why Julio will be first round pick anyway.

I'm enjoying all the Hogsmack around here. I'm looking forward to seeing if they can be the Auburn of 2011. It'll add another interesting twist to America's premier college football conference. And it'll be interesting to see if the Hoghype really is good for an Arky blowout of Ohio State in New Orleans. Anything less than a 35-40 point Arky win would a huge fail, if the Arkansas posters are to be believed. Go Swine!

You should have left it at LSU. Alabama seems like a decent enough school for those positions. But why any kid would go to LSU to be a QB or a WR is baffling to me. I know it's a great program and they put lots of people in the NFL. But that doesn't change the fact that in recent history the QB's have sucked and the WR's suffer for it.

How about a little humility? Yes, Petrino and staff is damn good at developing all positions, including lineman, but so are a lot of coaching staffs with many of them residing in the SEC.

You are correct in that great "skill" players (QBs, WRs, RBs, & TEs/FBs) should take a long hard look at playing for the Hogs and they are as evident by the commitments we have so far for 2011 and 2012.

I also think Petrino and staff has done a great job developing OL as well and with the addition of Klenakis, they have taken it to another level.

One other thing that has been overshadowed by the offense is that the talent level (and coaching) has continued to improve on the defensive side. We now have SEC type DL two deep with more great ones on the way. A lot of people try to paint Petrino as not focusing on defense but that’s just ignorant. Petrino know that you have to have a good defense to win consistently and he has us headed that way.

Hog futures have never been higher.

Brohm was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the second round (56th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he was the third quarterback on the depth chart behind starter Aaron Rodgers and backup Matt Flynn. He was waived on September 5, 2009. Just days later, Brohm was signed to the practice squad.

Hilarious. Matt Flynn, recruited by the Alabama coach and won a national championship with the LSU coach. Maybe you should be telling the recruits to go to FSU to be coached by Jimbo.

The WR part is just too easy.
